History is the story of the awakening of the human race.  It is the comet trail left behind by the present.  It is the story of a vast reversal of facts, where the victorious carve graffiti over the previous gang’s graffiti, where the new gang builds a new and shiny story with the bones of the dead.  Vast empires have risen and fallen on complete lies–empires of state, empires of religion, empires of art, and empires of learning.

The present is encircling itself in the death clutch of a constricting snake.  Stumbling blindly forward, we trip over our view of–and belief in–the past.  We define the future by our dreams, and we define the past by our egos.  The present is something so long that it never ends, and so short that it’s already gone.  Each moment is a lifetime, wasted or well-spent.

We’re up Shit Creek, but with a paddle.  We’ve filled the creek with shit, we’ve built the canoe, and we’ve carved the paddle out of material too thin to shovel shit. The solution is to stop trying to paddle upstream while others are floating downstream.  Let us use what few strokes our paddles have left to hit the shore, where we can drop a few trees and build a bridge across Shit Creek to assault the place where they’re filling the creek with shit.

I look around myself, and I see the horrors of confusion.  We lack direction, because we look everywhere but inside ourselves for the answers.  Conflict itself narrows perspective in order to focus on any given matter at hand, to remove the conflict.  I see people welcoming unnecessary conflict into their lives like a long lost friend.  They must focus on and police anything but the big picture, in order to convince themselves the big picture is not their jurisdiction.

Beauty is that which cannot be tamed or controlled.

This is our world, and we demand our due.  We are done asking, begging, and otherwise prostrating ourselves upon the altar of false safety.  We are beginning to simply not comply with bullshit.  There are ways to accomplish anything, and we’ve been busy finding those ways.

We’ve realized there is no need to group together; we can work individually toward the same goal, and we are.  That goal is complete restoration of our God-given rights.  We will no longer fall for your false messiahs, nor clean your smoking mirrors.  The future is ours.

thanks alot trixi.  this one just seemed to flow through the keyboard, so to speak.  I need to write more--it used to be at least one piece a week, but I've been busy as hell lately...
