Ahmadinejad wants to debate Obama
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad proposed today that United States President Barack Obama contend to a face-to-face debate with him at the United Nations if he is re-elected next month as Iran’s president.
“Of course this time, if I am elected as president by the great nation of Iran, I will extend that invitation [to President Obama] one more time for a debate at the UN headquarters,” President Ahmadinejad said on Monday.
During his previous visit to the United Nations headquarters he invited former US President George W. Bush to join him in a debate on global issues.
Though Mr.Ahmadinejad requested a debate today many Americans don’t realize that this is not the first time he has called on talks with Obama.
Since February, Ahmadinejad expressed willingness for dialogue but stressed that negotiations should be held “in a climate of fairness with mutual respect.”
Seeing that Barack Obama is an AIPAC puppet I highly doubt Israel will allow such a ‘debate’ or ‘dialogue’ to occur – Mr.Obama may come off as a highly intellectual man,but in the end he is nothing without his teleprompter and has little,if any, thoughts of his own that are displayed publicly to the masses.
If we recall in 2006, the Iranian president wrote an 18-page letter to President Bush that touched on religious values, history and international relations. The letter was viewed as an offer extended to the United States for dialogue.
President Ahmadinejad commented on the move by the former US president to ignore his letter, saying, “Not answering the letters was, in itself, an answer.”
Mr.Ahmadinejad has given his invitation, let’s see what becomes of it in the mean time.
The new American government of Barack Obama says it wants to open dialogue with Iran to resolve the country’s nuclear issue but has concurrently followed in the Bush administration’s disgraceful footsteps by insisting that he “will not take military options off the table” in dealing with Iran.
According to Iranian news outlet,PressTV,
“The US and Israel accuse Iran of seeking military objectives in its pursuit. Tehran — a signatory to the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty – insists its nuclear program is aimed at civilian purposes and refuses to relinquish its ‘inalienable’ rights to achieve the nuclear know-how according to NPT regulations”
Instead of worrying about IF or WHEN Iran will have Nuclear ‘weapons’ why don’t we question WHY Israel does,WHY America is funding Israel and it’s military and WHEN America will stop doing so.
In any case I’m eager to see what becomes of Mr.Ahmadinejad’s request for a formal debate with President Obama.
$5 Euro’s says that he will ‘politely’ reject.
