NEW YORK — In an historic hearing in the federal courthouse in Manhattan on Thursday, U.S. District Court Judge George Daniels said he planned to issue a ruling in the coming days declaring that Iran shares in the responsibility for the 9/11 terror attacks.

“The extensive record submitted to this court, including fact witnesses and expert testimony, is satisfactory to this court,” Judge Daniels said. The court “accepts as true” the various allegations of the plaintiffs and their experts, he declared, and “will issue an order” in the coming days that Iran bears legal responsibility for providing “material support” to the 9/11 plotters and hijackers.

Family members of 9/11 victims who attended the open-court hearing broke into tears. They had nervously sat through a four-hour presentation by attorneys Thomas E. Mellon, Jr., and Timothy B. Fleming, consisting of evidence backing up their claims that Iran had foreknowledge of the 9/11 attacks and actively assisted the hijackers in planning, preparing, and executing their plan.

Trust in information on the web is being damaged by the huge numbers of people paid by companies to post comments online, say researchers.

Fake posters can “poison” debate and make people unsure about who they can trust, the study suggests.

Some firms have created tens of thousands of fake accounts to flood chat forums and skew debate.

The researchers say there are reliable ways to spot fakes and urge websites to do more to police users.

The researchers from Canada and China say paying people to post comments is an “interesting strategy in business marketing” but it is not a benign activity.

“Paid posters may create a significant negative effect on the online communities, since the information from paid posters is usually not trustworthy,” they wrote.

In China, paid posters are known as the Internet Water Army because they are ready and willing to ‘flood’ the internet for whoever is willing to pay. The flood can consist of comments, gossip and information (or disinformation) and there seems to be plenty of demand for this army’s services.

The Washington Post is reporting that recent damage to an Illinois water treatment plant was a cyber attack by foreign hackers, “Foreign hackers caused a pump at an Illinois water plant to fail last week, according to a preliminary state report.”

Despite the alarmist title of the article, DHS spokesman Peter Boogaard cautioned “At this time there is no credible corroborated data that indicates a risk to critical infrastructure entities or a threat to public safety.”

Although the “original source of the information was unknown and impossible to immediately verify,” the claim is allegedly made in a “Public Water District Cyber Intrusion” report.  Industry expert and Department of Homeland Security adviser, Joe Weiss, as if on a publicity tour, called both theWashington Post and Wired with alarmist rhetoric.

Weiss conclusively told the Washington Post, “This is a big deal. It was tracked to Russia. It has been in the system for at least two to three months.  It has caused damage. We don’t know how many other utilities are currently compromised.”

Yet, the DHS maintains that there is no credible data or threat, and Don Craven, a water district trustee, told the State Journal-Register that they don’t know what caused it and that “the water district is up and running and things are fine.”

Still, Weiss told Wired,“There very easily could be other utilities as we speak who have their networks compromised,” he said. “This is unconscionable.”

If this highly speculative report is true, it would not only be the first time hackers successfully infiltrated and physically damaged a public utility in the United States, it would also be the first time they did so through the Internet.

As was determined with the now infamous Stuxnet attack on Iran’s nuclear enrichment facilities, a virus was planted on a USB stick that was plugged it into a computer at a secure facility — not through the Internet.

Expert insiders agree that Stuxnet was so sophisticated that it could have only come from U.S. and/or Israeli engineers,  Since neither government has denied these allegations, it represents the only substantial hack attack with a credible culprit.

To date, most alleged cyber attacks have been vague stories of shadowy hackers originating from IP addresses in Romania or China.  Despite having no verified accounts of successful external attacks on public utilities, the fear propaganda of cyber threats persist.

Any credible investigator would look for motive in such attacks.  It’s interesting that no one would seem to benefit from attacking a random small water treatment facility except, of course, the cyber defense industry itself — of which Joe Weiss, the oft-referred to expert source for this recent unconfirmed attack, is a beneficiary of.

In all honesty, what sober “hacker” would waste their time and sophistication to target a minor public utility?  And what type of cyber terrorist would waste their talent on such a fruitless endeavor?  The idea that this is a “big deal . . . tracked to Russia,” as Weiss stated, implies some sort of nation-state sponsorship, making such a low-level attack even more implausible.

What we do know, however, is that the U.S. is hellbent on controlling the Internet.  Therefore, they appear to have the motive to create perceived threats in order to offer the solution of reduced Internet freedom and privacy.

Indeed, one of the proposed “solutions” is to require a digital ID for all web users just to access the Internet.  And if that is unsuccessful, they’ve devised other draconian solutions like making it afelony to lie on the Internet.

So this over-hyped, completely unsubstantiated cyber attack appears to be nothing more than another attempt of fear mongering by government-funded “experts” in order to pursue their desired agenda to castrate Internet freedom.

Here is a type of “smoking gun” proof that NATO and the U.S. has been operating through a smokescreen of lies, as well as intimidation. Please read the following January 4, 2011 report of the 16th Session of the United Nations General Assembly Human Rights Council, Universal Periodic Review:

Report of the Working Group on the Libyan Arab Jamahiriya [Document A/HRC/WG.6/9/L.13]

Before NATO and the U.S. started bombing Libya, the United Nations was preparing to bestow an award on Colonel Muammar Gaddafi, and the Libyan Jamahiriya, for its achievements in the area of human rights. That’s right–the same man, Colonel Muammar Gaddafi, that NATO and the United States have been telling us for months is a “brutal dictator,” was set to be given an award for his human rights record in Libya. How strange it is that the United Nations was set to bestow a human rights award on a “brutal dictator,” at the end of March.

So, I ask a question. Who is this “brutal dictator” that the United Nations General Assembly Human Rights Council was preparing to bestow an award to, for human rights, sometime at the end of March? So, they would have us believe that they knew that he was a “brutal dictator,” yet decided to give him an award for human rights?! Astounding! Astounding the lies that we’re being told by the media, NATO and the U.S. government. Absolutely astounding! Not surprising, but astounding! But more astounding still, is the fact that, time after time after time, much of the American public–without questioning–believes every single word that comes from the “news” media.

It is noteworthy to read the following couple of sentences from the General Assembly’s report:

“Several delegations also noted with appreciation the country’s commitment to upholding human rights on the ground. Additional statements, which could not be delivered during the interactive dialogue, owing to time constraints, will be posted on the extranet of the universal periodic review when available.”

In a footnote of that report, there is a list of countries that praised Colonel Gaddafi and the Libyan Jamahiriya (state of the masses), in support of the General Assembly Human Rights Council’s decision to bestow this award upon Colonel Gaddafi.I simply present the list. The reader can look at the list and make his or her own judgement regarding the credibility level, or perceived credibility level, of any of the particular countries listed:

Denmark, China, Italy, The Netherlands, Mauritania, Slovenia, Nicaragua, The Russian Federation, Spain, Indonesia, Sweden, Norway, Ecuador, Hungary, South Africa, The Phillippines, Maldives, Chile, Singapore, Germany, Australia, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Angola, Nigeria, Congo, Burundi, Zambia, Rwanda, Burkina Faso, Senegal, Cote d’Ivoire, Djibouti, Zimbabwe.

UPDATED: Among those attending the morning gathering at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel were studio head Harvey Weinstein, UTA’s Rob Prinz, CAA managing partner and music head Rob Light, and ICM’s Chris Silbermann.

Before he left Los Angeles for San Francisco on Tuesday, President Barack Obama stopped for an undisclosed meeting with some of the entertainment industry’s high-level executives, as well as talent representatives with access to the industry’s top stars and musical acts, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

Among the small group of industry insiders who were invited to attended the early-morning meeting with the president at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel were: Weinstein Co. studio head Harvey Weinstein, CAA managing partner and music head Rob Light, ICM president Chris Silbermann, Modern Family creator Steve Levitan, Atlantic Records chairman Craig Kallman, producer/songwriter Bruce Roberts, talent manger and producer Jason Weinberg, UTA music agent Rob Prinz, talent manager and producer Eric Ortner, Island Def Jam senior vice president Karen Kwak, Warner Bros. Records president Livia Tortella, talent manager Greg Mertz, ID PR publicists Kelly Bush and Mara Buxbaum, talent managers Bruce Flohr, Michael Green, Steve Moir and Bill Silva, Universial Music Publishing Group executive vice president and head of creative Tom Sturges, entertainment attorney Chuck Ortner and actor/activist Kal Penn.

The event was not a fundraiser, and attendees were not asked to donate to the Obama reelection campaign. But those invited have been ardent supporters of the president and were identified as “influencers” with the ability to help Obama shape the national political conversation heading into a tough race in 2012.

In an interesting and little noted peek into the world of alternative press, popular radio host Alex Jones was asked about the Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion as well as the alleged use of Zyklon B in German gas chambers during World War II.

As is his general sytle, Jones jumps in with his reply before the caller finishes his questions. Regarding the protocols, Jones notes that “they call it a forgery but a forgery would be a copy of something that isn’t real”. Perhaps Jones misspoke in trying to make a point, but actually a FORGERY would be a copy of something that is real. A forged signature, for example, would be an attempted replica of a persons actual signature.

Similar to the mainstream establishment, Jones discredits the legitimacy of the work, saying the document is “written like a comic book” and was sold even by the likes of Walmart. Walmart actually did sell the book at one time, at least on their website, but after being pressured by the ADL and Simon Weisenthal Center, they pulled the product from their offerings, as a “business decision”.

Jones discounts the Protocols, saying “And it basically says there’s a secret Zionist plot to take over the world”, adding a caveat that “Quite frankly every major group and organization wants to take over the world”, including ‘Every major corporation’,'The Chinese’, ‘The Anglo-American establishment’, and ‘The Israeli interests’.

What’s interesting about this point is that in addition to minimizing a Zionist role in the “new world order” machinations, Jones attempts to specifically differenciate references of a “Zionist plot” from the “Israeli interests” of today. However, as educate-yourself.org points out in their page on the protocols, “While Zionists and their agents are dispersed world wide, the heart of Zionism resides with those who control the state of Israel”.

When the caller brings up the topic of Zyklon B and the veracity its use in gas chambers, Jones brings up several strawman arguements instead of addressing the callers points directly. First, Jones responds by asking the caller if he doubts that Nazis shot people as well.

The caller skillfully returns to the specific point at hand, saying “I’m just asking about the gas chambers and the Zyklon B . Do you think that thats real or not? Cause I can’t come to any conclusions.” Jones replies with an even more absurd strawman, saying “I know here in the United States we execute people with gas, but some say that didn’t exist either. Gas chambers don’t exist I guess in Germany or here in the U.S. I thought it was part of the death penalty and things.”

Jones concludes stating “I actually have an allergy to the obsession for Israel and against it.” [Audio is here].

Despite ones opinion of Alex Jones, one can’t fault him for avoiding the ‘Z’ word or ‘J’ word in his body of work if he wants to successfully sell advertising to his numerous sponsors, many of which are Jewish owned companies. Many writers – myself included- have been fired, blackballed and demonized for daring to call out the inappropriate Jewish influence in America. The late Joe Sobran and Helen Thomas come to mind. Father Charles E. Coughlin, a popular Catholic priest from Michigan who derided the undue Jewish influence on American affairs in the 1920s and 30s, was constantly threatened with censorship and eventually removed from the air by FDR. In the years before Ron Paul was even born, Coughlin railed against the privately owned Federal Reserve, the “warmongers” and those “propagandists” engaged in the “blood business” of constant war, which he said was the “gospel of satan”, rather than that of Jesus Christ. Coughlin relentlessly pointed out that atheistic Jews funded and continued to promote communism, and urged good Jews to stand up against it. When a documentary filmaker and self-described historical expert such as Jones refuses to address the legitimacy or relevance of a discussion on the use of Zyklon B in the use of alleged Nazi gas chambers, it calls into question their agenda. Most of todays undeclared, premptive wars are vehemently encouraged by modern day Zionist (neocon) propagandists. A great number of sincere American Christians are duped into blindly supporting the modern day state of Israel- and by extension, cheerleading the U.S. involvement in disasterous, immoral wars and the mass murder of millions of innocents. In addition to the wars, support for Israel coincides with shocking support for a tyrannical police state, enacted under the guise of ‘keeping us safe’ from terrorist boogeymen wearing turbins. In reality, most all terrorist events are plotted and carried out by U.S. and Israeli governments themselves in phony, “false flag” operations. Our vice president Biden is an admitted Zionist, and Zionists use the smear of ‘anti-semitism’ as a trick to derail opponents of the empire. This tactic is admitted by Jews themselves.

If the corruption of Israel and the fraud of the World War II concentration camp gas chambers is readily exposed, this may help to wake people up and lessen general American support of Israeli Zionist warmongering police-state interests.

Bishop Richard Williamson was prosecuted after doubting the veracity of the Nazi gas chambers in a media interview. Williamson, a prominent cleric whose excommunication from the Catholic Church was lifted by Pope Benedict XVI, insisted that he believes the evidence shows that no one was gassed because it would have been impossible as they described it using Zyklon B. Williamson, who was also courageous enough to expose the lie of 9/11/01, was mercilessly attacked from all sides, and deemed an ‘anti-semite’. Despite Williamson being featured in the worldwide media for months, Alex Jones, interestingly, never once mentioned Williamson, the controversy surrounding him, or the Bishop’s exposure of 9/11 as a flase flag operation.

Alex Jones protoge Jason Bermas was sharply criticized in 2009 after Bermas bizarrely said that anyone stating that Jews own the media should hang or electrocute themselves. I’m proud to say I broke that story exposing Bermas, prompting Bermas and Jones respond to my article on air the next day, with the original caller calling back in. [Part one of that audio is here, and (part two is here . It caused quite a stir in the “patriot community”, prompting Jeff Rense, Texe Marrs and many others to widely expose the innapropriateness of Bermas position. Bermas, in short order, finished working on an Alex Jones documentary film and disappeared from the scene permanently.

Regardless, Jones continues to be constantly criticized by people for being weak on the Israeli Zionist issue. Here is my take on that issue. I know many people who got their ‘reality check’ introduction to 9/11, false flag terror and the police state through Alex Jones Infowars and PrisonPlanet. Most all of them eventually researched on their own and discovered the extent of Israeli involvement in corruption of our world affairs, and undue Israeli influence into our country. They didn’t need Jones to spell it out for them. I think that Jones has done, and continues to do, a lot of great work. People come across information in stages. To the average hard working American who is dumb enough to believe the state nonsense, Alex Jones is skillful in exposing and documenting many forms of government corruption. For whatever reason, Jones obviously stays away from the importance of Zionist Jewish influence. This does not mean that the remaining body of his work is all subterfuge, or that he is some sort of cointelpro government agent. It probably means that he is smart enough to know what side of his bread is buttered to earn a nice living. He can talk about vaccines, gun-grabs, 9/11, mind control, GMO foods, etc and as long as he never mentions Jews, he can gleefully remain on CNN, FOX, and MSNBC.

Jones: “Let’s talk to Don in Oregon. Don youre on the air.”

Caller: “Yeah hey Alex. I wanted to get your opinion about two points of history that I’ve been researching, but it’s really hard to come to any conclusions. Uh, the first, number one is the Protocols of Zion. Uh, just wondering what you thought about that, uh,”

The caller is faded down and Jones begins his response:

Jones: “I mean nobody knows who wrote that, uh they think the Czarist secret police wrote it, it’s written like a comic book. And they call it a forgery but a forgery would be a copy of something that isn’t real, so. Again, I dont tend to get into things that can’t be proven one way or another. I think it sold over the last hundred years , something like you knoe hundreds of millions of copies. Uh, one time I was in Walmart and looked down they had stacks of them being sold . And it basically says there’s a secret Zionist plot to take over the world. Quite frankly every major group and organization wants to take over the world. Every major corporation states their plan is global domination. The Chinese want to take over the world. The Anglo-American establishment. The Israeli interests want to dominate and take over. So there is a lot of that going on, but I tend to go off of what’s happening and what I can prove, not documents like that.”

The caller then continues a bit about the Protocols, then moves on to the topic of Zyclon B, which annoys Jones even further:

Caller: “The second thing is the holocaust, specifically with respect to the gas chambers and the Zyklon B. Do you think that…-”

Jones: “No. No. I know. Listen, I know all that gets debated all day. The Nazis themselves shot- because we’ve done a lot of research here on World War II, and we’ve got the National Archives footage that came from Germany, they admit its theirs, where you know they herd the people into the pits – women, children, men and shoot them, are you saying that isn’t real either?”

Caller: “No, I’m not saying anything, I’m just asking about the gas chambers and the Zyklon B . Do you think that thats real or not? Cause I can’t come to any conclusions.

Jones: “I know here in the United States we execute people with gas, but some say that didn’t exist either. Gas chambers don’t exist I guess in Germany or here in the U.S. I thought it was part of the death penalty and things. You know, I, I, – again, I actually have an allergy to the obsession for Israel and against it. Uh, you know I’m here talking about Rick Perry getting in the face of Ron Paul and grabbing his arm , and I just want to get rid of the federal reserve, whoever runs it. Uh, it could be run by the Easter bunny, I want to get rid of it. Is there Jewish mafia? Absolutely. Uh, did they set up the ADL, whenever they got caught doing stuff to demonize anybody that went after Jewish mafia? Yes. Am I against the Jewish mafia? Yeah, I’m against every other form of organized crime, I appreciate your call. Uh Let’s go ahead now and take another call.

Reuters Propagandist: US State Department Cables = Truth

After nearly a full year at Reuters covering globalist lawyer Robert Amsterdam’s every public relations stunt, including a 40 page report [1], Andrew Marshall decided to “quit” his job and pen the conveniently timed “Thai Story.” The lengthy narrative is based entirely on US State Department cables taken from Wikileaks regarding Thailand, with Marshall’s decidedly anti-Thai establishment rhetoric interjected throughout. He published the first of three parts just days before Thailand’s controversial national election in hopes of further undermining the Thai state and its institutions, bolstering support for US-backed opposition groups [2], as well as preparing the rhetorical battlefield in tandem with other corporate-media organizations, including Robert Amsterdam, ahead of possible violence.

Despite Marshall’s tedious, bland, myopic, and repetitive writing style, the tremendous length of his “Thai Story,” and its inaccessibility to anyone without an intimate knowledge of Thai politics, his paid-for stunt became front page news online at the UK Independent [3][4], and was featured by the admittedly globalist Economist [5], the Lowy Institute [6], and the Council on Foreign Relations [7]. Marshall, apprently, thinks his readership is ignorant enough to believe these organizations and the corporate-financier interests they all represent, care only for freedom, human rights, and “truth,” despite being some of the biggest purveyors of human atrocities on earth, or perhaps Marshall has another explanation as to why they all decided to over-hype in tandem, his less than impressive narrative.

Now months later, Marshall is still in Singapore elaborating on just what he was trying to accomplish with his Wikileaks hit piece. In an interview with Prachatai, a US State Department and George Soros funded propaganda outfit based in Bangkok [8], Marshall farcically claims that US diplomatic cables represented an opportunity to tell the “truth” about Thailand. Marshall goes on to explain that the cables provide a way to get past restrictions on “truth” and provide an honest debate about the future of Thailand. Ironically, this is identical to the Council on Foreign Relation’s conclusion regarding “Thai Story,” encapsulated in a June 2011 article titled, “Bombshell Report on Thailand May Open Debate on Monarchy.” Perhaps it is just a coincidence that the CFR, which represents the collective interests of the largest banks and corporations on earth, in its ceaselessly self-serving agenda has come to the same conclusion about what is “best” for Thailand as does the “deeply concerned” Andrew Marshall.

In the interview, Marshall never explains how the words of US diplomats, working on behalf of a nation with troops occupying Iraq and Afghanistan, conducting military operations in Pakistan, Libya, Yemen, Somalia, and covertly inside Iran, and with troops tied up at more than 820 installations in at least 135 countries, represent anything other than the self-serving interests of a world spanning empire, let alone the “truth.” He also fails to mention how the meaningless, unsubstantiated claims, opinions, and speculations of US diplomats hold any legitimate place in a sovereign nation’s debate over its own future, aside from of course, how those plans might mesh with the West’s imperial ambitions.

Video: US State Department-funded Prachatai interviews the dubious Andrew Marshall of Reuters. Marshall’s words repeat, almost verbatim, the narrative proposed by the CFR in regards to Thailand and the Wikileaks cables, all part of a gambit to destabilize and remove Thailand’s long standing indigenous institutions, which stand in direct competition with the myriad of globalist funded “NGOs” attempting to pry their way in.

Marshall’s dubious claims that the US State Department cables equate to some sort of sacred “truth” a nation must bend its destiny to, is only topped by the fact that he was saying this in an interview with a news organization fully funded year-to-year by the US State Department and US corporate-funded foundations. When considering America’s immense military holdings throughout the world, it should be no surprise that they hold an equally vast propaganda network, lined by overtly paid-for organizations like Prachatai and disingenuous liars like Andrew Marshall of Reuters [9].

We here at the CNN would like to apologize to many of our viewers. We are profoundly sorry for including Ron Paul’s name in our coverage of the Iowa Ames straw poll. Our headline “Bachmann wins Iowa straw poll narrowly besting Ron Paul” stirred very negative emotions caused painful headaches and extreme discomfort among many Americans.

Here is for example an email from our viewer working for the weapons making arm of Lockheed Martin:

“Dear CNN I could not sleep last night after seeing the positive coverage that you gave to Ron Paul. If he ever becomes president I am certain to lose not just my job but my wife as well. I can’t see myself working at McDonald’s supporting my family”

Another email:

“I am a contractor working in Afghanistan making 300K a year and if this guy this doctor Ron Paul becomes president my dream life will be over.

I plead with you to avoid covering his campaign and if you really have to mention his name please add negative things like “he has no chance to win” and “bottom of the pack” also if you have to show him photoshop the crowds out so that people can only see one or two supporters around him that would really help”

Another letter:

“I am a banker here on Wall Street and I am terrified with this Ron Paul I will no longer be able to obtain bailout money my family depends on.

We are here as bread and butter makers of America we need to be supported.
Ron Paul as president will put us on the street among the New York homeless population — please stop covering Ron Paul enough is enough!”

We at the CNN take seriously the wishes of our viewers.

Starting today anyone working here who attempts to give Ron Paul positive coverage will receive a pink slip on the spot.

We hope our actions not just words will prove to our viewers how deeply we dedicate ourselves to the fair non-biased coverage of political process in our country.

‘The new Nazis love Israel, the Jewish State.’

The Nazi Propaganda Minister, Dr. Joseph Goebbels, calls his boss, Adolf Hitler, by hell-phone.

‘Mein Führer,’ he exclaims excitedly. ‘News from the world. It seems we were on the right track, after all. Anti-Semitism is conquering Europe!’

“Good!” the Führer says, “That will be the end of the Jews!”

“Hmmm…well…not exactly, mein Führer. It looks as though we chose the wrong Semites. Our heirs, the new Nazis, are going to annihilate the Arabs and all the other Muslims in Europe.” Then, with a chuckle, “After all, there are many more Muslims than Jews to exterminate.”

“But what about the Jews?” Hitler insists.

“You won’t believe this: the new Nazis love Israel, the Jewish State – and Israel loves them!”

The atrocity committed this week by the Norwegian neo-Nazi – is it an isolated incident? Right-wing extremists all over Europe and the US are already declaiming in unison: “He does not belong to us! He is just a lone individual with a deranged mind! There are crazy people everywhere! You cannot condemn a whole political camp for the deeds of one single person!”

Sounds familiar. Where did we hear this before?

Of course, after the assassination of Yitzhak Rabin.

There is no connection between the Oslo mass-murder and the assassination in Tel Aviv. Or is there?

During the months leading up to Rabin’s murder, a growing hate campaign was orchestrated against him. Almost all the Israeli right-wing groups were competing among themselves to see who could demonize him most effectively.

In one demonstration, a photo-montage of Rabin in the uniform of an [] SS officer was paraded around. On the balcony overlooking this demonstration, Binyamin Netanyahu could be seen applauding wildly, while a coffin marked “Rabin” was paraded below. Religious groups staged a medieval, kabbalistic ceremony, in which Rabin was condemned to death. Senior rabbis took part in the campaign. No right-wing or religious voices were raised in warning.

The actual murder was indeed carried out by a single individual, Yigal Amir, a former settler, the student of a religious university. It is generally assumed that before the deed he consulted with at least one senior rabbi. Like Anders Behring Breivik, the Oslo murderer, he planned his deed carefully, over a long time, and executed it cold-bloodedly. He had no accomplices.

Or had he? Were not all the inciters his accomplices? Does not the responsibility rest with all the shameless demagogues, like Netanyahu, who hoped to ride to power on the wave of hatred, fears and prejudice?

As it turned out, their calculations were confirmed. Less than a year after the assassination, Netanyahu indeed came to power. Now the right-wing is ruling Israel, becoming more radical from year to year, and, lately, it seems, from week to week. Outright Fascists now play leading roles in the Knesset.

All this – the result of three shots by a single fanatic, for whom the words of the cynical demagogues were deadly serious.

The latest proposal of our fascists, straight from the mouth of Avigdor Lieberman, is to abrogate Rabin’s crowning achievement: the Oslo agreements. So we come back to Oslo.

When I first heard the news about the Oslo outrage, I was afraid that the perpetrators might be some crazy Muslims. The repercussions would have been terrible. Indeed, within minutes, one stupid Muslim group already boasted that they had carried out this glorious feat. Fortunately, the actual mass-murderer surrendered at the scene of the crime.

He is the prototype of a Nazi anti-Semite of the new wave. His creed consists of white supremacy, Christian fundamentalism, hatred of democracy and European chauvinism, mixed with a virulent hatred of Muslims.

This creed is now sprouting offshoots all over Europe. Small radical groups of the ultra-Right are turning into dynamic political parties, take their seats in Parliaments and even become kingmakers here and there. Countries which always seemed to be models of political sanity suddenly produce fascist rabble-rousers of the most disgusting kind, even worse than the US Tea Party, another offspring of this new Zeitgeist. Avigdor Lieberman is our contribution to this illustrious world-wide league.

One thing almost all these European and American ultra-Rightist groups have in common is their admiration for Israel. In his 1500 page political manifesto, on which he had been working for a long time, the Oslo murderer devoted an entire section to this. He proposed an alliance of the European extreme Right and Israel. For him, Israel is an outpost of Western Civilization in the mortal struggle with barbaric Islam. (Somewhat reminiscent of Theodor Herzl’s promise that the future Jewish State would be an “outpost of Western culture against Asiatic barbarism”?)

Right-wing Israelis, who are courted by these groups, argue that it is not their fault that all these hate-mongers are attracted to them. On the face of it, that is of course true. Yet one cannot but ask oneself: why are they so attracted? Wherein lies this attraction? Does this not warrant some serious soul-searching?

I first became aware of the gravity of the situation when a friend drew my attention to some German anti-Islamic blogs.

I was shocked to the core. These outpourings are almost verbatim copies of the diatribes of Joseph Goebbels. The same rabble-rousing slogans. The same base allegations. The same demonization. With one little difference: instead of Jews, this time it is Arabs who are undermining Western Civilization, seducing Christian maids, plotting to dominate the world. The Protocols of the Elders of Mecca.

A day after the Oslo events I happened to be watching Aljazeera’s English TV network, one of the best in the world, and saw an interesting program. For a whole hour, the reporter interviewed Italian people in the street about Muslims. The answers were shocking.

Mosques should be forbidden. They are places where Muslims plot to commit crimes. Actually, they don’t need mosques at all – they need only a rug to pray. Muslims come to Italy to destroy Italian culture. They are parasites, spreading drugs, crime and disease. They must be kicked out, to the last man, woman and child.

I always considered Italians easygoing, loveable people. Even during the Holocaust, they behaved better than most other European peoples. Benito Mussolini became a rabid anti-Semite only during the last stages, when he had become totally dependent on Hitler.

Yet here we are, barely 66 years after Italian partisans hanged Mussolini’s body by his feet in a public place in Milan – and a much worse form of anti-Semitism is rampant in the streets of Italy, as in most [or “many”?] other European countries.

Of course, there is a real problem. Muslims are not free of blame for the situation. Their own behavior makes them easy targets. Like the Jews in their time.

Europe is in a quandary. They need the “foreigners” – Muslims and all – to work for them, keep their economy going, pay for the pensions of the old people. If all Muslims were to leave Europe tomorrow morning, the fabric of society in Germany, France, Italy and many other countries would break down.

Yet many Europeans are dismayed when they see these “foreigners”, with their strange languages, mannerisms and clothes crowding their streets, changing the character of many neighborhoods, opening shops, marrying their daughters, competing with them in many ways. It hurts. As a German minister once said: “We brought here workers, and found out that we had brought human beings!”

One can understand these Europeans, up to a point. Immigration causes real problems. The migration from the poor South to the rich North is a phenomenon of the 21st century, a result of the crying inequality among nations. It needs an all-European immigration policy, a dialogue with the minorities about integration or multiculturalism. It won’t be easy.

But this tidal wave of Islamophobia goes far beyond that. Like a Tsunami, it can result in devastation.

Many of the Islamophobic parties and groups remind one of the atmosphere of Germany in the early 1920s, when “völkisch” groups and militias were spreading their hateful poison, and an army spy called Adolf Hitler was earning his first laurels as an anti-Semitic orator. They looked unimportant, marginal, even crazy. Many laughed at this man Hitler, the Chaplinesque mustachioed clown.

But the abortive Nazi putsch of 1923 was followed by 1933, when the Nazis took power, and 1939, when Hitler started World War II, and 1942, when the gas chambers were brought into operation.

It is the beginnings which are critical, when political opportunists realize that arousing fear and hatred is the easiest way to fortune and power, when social misfits become nationalist and religious fanatics, when attacking helpless minorities becomes acceptable as legitimate politics, when funny little men turn into monsters.

Is that Dr. Goebbels I hear laughing in hell?

Excellent speech and it seems to be squarely directed at israel because rather than suggest Norwegians are being punished for their actions, he says clearly that those responsible are attempting to silence Norway.

When asked specifically about the attack on the youth camp, he characterize Norwegian youth as having very strong political views and he grew visibly agitated, suggesting he suspects the youth were targeted because of this.

“Attacking one of the most peaceful places, a political youth camp, is especially brutal – an act of cowardice,” Mr Stoltenberg says.

I doubt that they will come right out and blame israelis, but in the coming days it will become apparent, based on their reluctance to verify the “islamic terrorists” as the culprits, whether or not they suspect israel.

BTW – Gunman is Norwegian.

SEE: Norwegian Labor Party Youth Movement (AUF) Demands that Ariel Sharon and Other Israeli Leaders be put on Trial.

On 10.07.2002, Mrs. Eva Kristin Hansen, the leader of the Norwegian Labor Party Youth Movement (AUF), called upon the Attorney General of Norway to investigate whether “Israel’s Prime Minister Ariel Sharon and other Israeli leaders can be put on trial for crimes they committed” (http://norskisraelsenter.no/engl/auf-sharon-vg-engl.htm). Kristin explained that this AUF demand for an indictment comes in light of “…$nbsp;killing of ambulance personnel, occasional destruction of civil targets and the illegal execution of civilians”.

Less than a day after this AUF petition was sent to the court, Norwegian former Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg (Labor) spoke before the AUF and attacked Israel. NIS notes that it was not so long ago – 20.4.2002 -, that Stoltenberg gave a speech attacking Israel, while Nazi Swastikas and other horrible anti-Jewish banners were held up in front of the Norwegian parliament (http://norskisraelsenter.no/engl/ap-stoltenberg-eng.htm). Such symbols are otherwise forbidden for use in demonstrations organized by Neo-Nazis.

NIS is aware of the important position that the AUF has in the political life of Norway, particularly concerning the Norwegian Labor Party. AUF has produced many important leaders of the Labor Party. Naturally, their opinions influence their environment and Norway.

As young AUF members, future central Norwegian Labor Party leaders, called in 1971 for the destruction of Israel: “The qualification for lasting peace must be that Israel cease to exist as a Jewish state”. (As quoted by Haakon Lie, former Secretary General of the Norwegian Labor Party, in his book: Slik Jeg Ser Det – As I See It – part II, p. 132.)

Seems to me pretty clear why the Labor Youth Camp was targeted – israelis are attempting to nip it in the bud. No Labor Youth – no future central Norwegian Labor Party Leaders to stand against them.

Norway’s TV2 claimed the suspect has links to right-wing extremism, without disclosing its sources.

Around 600 people were believed to be taking part in the summer camp on Utoya – most of whom were teenagers aged between 14 and 18. [!!!]

Foreign Ministry says Norwegian authorities funding anti-Israel film, exhibition, and play. Norway: We support freedom of expression

Serious diplomatic conflict: Israel is accusing the Norwegian government of funding and encouraging blatant anti-Israel incitement.

According to reports received by the Foreign Ministry in Jerusalem, the Trondheim Municipality is funding a trip to New York for students taking part in the “Gaza Monologues” play, which “deals with the suffering of children in Gaza as a result of the Israeli occupation.”

The play, written by a Palestinian from Gaza, will be presented at the United Nations headquarters. It joins an exhibition by a Norwegian artists displayed in Damascus, Beirut, and Amman, with the help of Norway’s embassies in Syria,Lebanon, and Jordan.

The exhibition shows killed Palestinian babies next to Israel Defense Forces helmets, which are reminiscent of Nazi soldiers’ helmets, and an Israeli flag drenched in blood.

The Norwegians are also helping the distribution of a documentary film called “Tears of Gaza” to festivals across the world. According to the Foreign Ministry, the film deals with the suffering of Gaza’s children as well, without mentioning Hamas, the rockets fired at Israel, and Israel’s right to defend itself.

The film shows Gazans chanting, “Itbah al-Yahud,” but the Norwegian translation says “slaughter the Israelis” instead of “slaughter the Jews”.

In addition, a book written by two Norwegian doctors who were the only foreigners in Gaza to give interviews during Operation Cast Lead was published recently. The book, which accuses IDF soldiers of deliberately killing women and children, is a bestseller in Norway and has been warmly recommended by none other than Norwegian Foreign Minister Jonas Gahr Støre.

The Israeli Embassy in Norway strongly protested the authorities’ involvement in Israel’s demonization. “The open and official Norwegian policy talks about understanding and reconciliation,” a senior Israeli official said Sunday evening, “but ever since the war in Gaza, Norway has become a superpower in terms of exporting multimedia aimed at de-legitimizing Israel, while using the Norwegian taxpayer funds for creating and transporting this multimedia.”
