1 Romney is not going to beat Obama. Ill tell you why. Paul’s supporters are not going to vote for a neocon. Pauls support is the antiwar party. Its a good 22% of republicans and much larger with Democrats. If its a contest between who is less warmongering unfortunately that’s Obama because these other idiots Santorum and Romney are even more warmongering than he is. If you vote for a neocon and you hand the race to Obama. It doesn’t matter if Paul runs third party or not. No one in the anti-war movement is going to vote for bigger warmonger. The only guy that can beat Obama is Ron Paul.

Be sure to grab the flyers I made.

By Katherine Smith PhD

[This work may be freely copied and distributed without permission.]

Astute observers of history are aware that for every notable event there will usually be at least one, often several wild conspiracy theories which spring up around it. “The CIA killed Hendrix”, “The Pope had John Lennon murdered”, “Hitler was half Werewolf”, “Aliens run the U.S. government”, “Nuclear reactors in the basement of the WTC”, etc., etc. The bigger the event, the more ridiculous and more numerous are the fanciful rantings which circulate in relation to it.

So it’s hardly surprising that when the U.S. Justice Department moved to block AT&T’s $39 billion takeover of T-Mobile, the lawsuit spawned a number of these ludicrous fairy tales. And as always, there is – sadly – a small but gullible percentage of the population eager to lap up these tall tales, regardless of facts or rational analysis.

One of the wilder stories circulating about the antitrust action, and the one that has attracted something of a cult following amongst conspiracy buffs is that the combination of the second and fourth-largest cell phone companies would harm competition and likely raise prices for consumers. [1]

Background: Telecommunications began one hundred and fifty years ago with the advent of telegraphy. In 1843, Samuel Morse and Alfred Lewis Vail received funding from the U.S. Congress to set up and test their telegraph system between Washington, D.C., and Baltimore, Maryland. On May 24, 1844, Morse sent Vail the historic first message: “What hath God wrought!”

[from the “Lost Science” by Gerry Vassilatos]

Telegraphic installations, initially, used an earth sense-oriented technique for determining the location of the telegraph wire lines. Linesmen understood the mysterious intelligence of the earth, and the lines followed winding trails through woods, across meadows, and sinuously along ridges, lakes, and streams. The locations were based on the now long-forgotten craft for raising the vital earth energy: “Geomancy.” [Ancient societies (Atlantis) understood Geomancy. Validated in the research of Dr. Albert Abrams] [2]

Geomantic energy “the earth energy” defies quantitative analysis. It unifies metaphysical and physical entities. When the telegraph first appeared, trade journals reported an anomalous ground energy: an earth “electricity” that was energizing telegraph systems without the need for battery power. [End of excerpt from the “Lost Science” by Gerry Vassilatos] [Appendix A]

The earth energy “sense” can be found in every pagan culture. But thanks to a twist of religious dogma during the Dark Ages, most of humanity in the West was prevented from worshipping the Earth (pantheism) and instead were told that the Earth was here to serve man (monotheism).

Until the Dark Ages, the “pagans” saw themselves as part of nature and shared the view that nature was not wild and hostile but a benevolent friend.

Christianity, specifically Pauline Christology, convinced man he was the greatest and most important part of creation and that the earth needed to be tamed in the name of “progress.” Specifically, technological progress would lead to a better, happier, safer life. From the Book of Genesis in the Holy Bible we hear,

“Let us make man in our image after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.”

Of course, the operative word here is “dominion” which has been seized upon for centuries to justify all manner of environmental destruction.

Thanks to Christianity, “progress,” and the 1%ers, (aka “the Fed”) humanity is now, according to a massive United Nations Report, the GEO4, at serious risk due to “the dangers of climate change, water scarcity, dwindling fish stocks and the pressures on the land and the extinction of species.” [3]

The 1%ers, until October 2008, gave us a no-limit credit card that we used to buy homes, mobile homes, auto mobiles, sport mobiles, computers, mobile computers, tele-phones, mobile-phones –the “stuff” which put the planet at the “unknown points of no return.” [4]

Geologists and engineers, in the name of progress, used powerful machinery to cut straight paths across the landscape building houses, office buildings, freeways, and cell phone towers making it impossible for man to live in harmony with the magnetic field of the Earth. [5]

AT&T a member of the Corporatocracy

We are conditioned to believe everything is about money, power, greed and corruption. Therefore we are not aware of the great lengths to which the six companies that control 96% of the media go to sell a Corporatocracy (a non-conspiracy term) driven agenda. An agenda to make sure we never suspect that electromagnetic pollution is the goal and not the unintended consequences of cellphonemania. [6]

AT&T isn’t trying to maximize profits but is determined (supported below) to collapse the Earth’s magnetic field with a magnetic dipole field reversal. Click here to read about dipole reversal.

The smart phone, a crackberry’s dream, powerful enough to send a man to the moon, is an electromagnetic nightmare for the Earth. [7]

By Madison Ruppert
End The Lie

Just weeks ago Trevor Eckhart, a security researcher and Android operating system developer, discovered a mysterious process running in the background of his Android-based device.

This program turned out to by Carrier IQ, or CIQ, and specifically the IQ Agent which is installed on mobile devices from all major carriers before they reach the consumer, totaling some 150 million phones, mostly in the United States.

The software is billed as a diagnostic tool which allows cellphone carriers to “better understand how mobile devices interact with and perform on their network,” according to an official Carrier IQ document which attempts to dispel what they bill as rumors and unfounded concerns of consumers and researchers.

The document is somewhat opaque and esoteric for those of us not familiar with the terminology and technology at work in these highly complex systems but some of it is quite easy to understand.

In the second paragraph of the introduction we read, “We want to thank Trevor Eckhart for sharing his findings with us through a working session that helped us to identify some of the issues highlighted in this report.”

This gives the impression that Carrier IQ was happy to see the findings of Eckhart and what he uncovered, but this is far from reality.

Eckhart discovered that the software was integrated with Android at the deepest levels and was able to monitor, record, and transmit even the most private data and interactions with the device.

He alleged that it could monitor every single individual keystroke and every interaction with the screen for that matter, along with encrypted internet browsing sessions and searches, GPS data, network data, battery data, among other pieces of information which many people would likely like to keep private.

Instead of praising Eckhart and working closely with him as the introductory paragraph might have you believe, Carrier IQ sued Eckhart for copyright infringement because he made publicly available training materials accessible to interested parties, where otherwise they might not have been able to find them on the Carrier IQ website.

The Electronic Frontier Foundation, or EFF, stepped in on Eckhart’s behalf and countered their frivolous legal threat – clearly intended to silence Eckhart and stifle his research – after which Carrier IQ withdrew their threat entirely.

(Infographic credit: Eletronic Frontier Foundation)

The EFF has produced a simplified, but not dumbed-down, explanation of Carrier IQ and how exactly it operates, which you can read here.

For those who are interested in learning more about this program, which is likely active on your device if you own a smartphone, this brief article is an absolute must read.

Carrier IQ continues to maintain their innocence and claim that the software does not record keystrokes (and thus the content of every email, text message, or anything else you might type), but Eckhart’s research shows otherwise.

The second video released by Eckhart (seen here) clearly shows the software doing things that Carrier IQ claims it does not, along with others who seek to defend this technology and the erosion of privacy in the digital age.

As a result of Eckhart’s findings, lawsuits have been filed against Carrier IQ, HTC, Samsung, Apple, AT&T, Sprint Nextel, T-Mobile, and Motorola, alleging that it breaches the Federal Wiretap Act, Stored Electronic Communications Act, and the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act.

Despite the company’s insistence to the contrary, the suit alleges that, “[i]n addition to collecting device and service-related data, Carrier IQ’s software can collect data about a user’s location, application use, Web browsing habits, videos watched, texts read and even the keys they press.”

The establishment media has come to the aid of their corporate cronies, citing so-called experts who “debunked” Eckhart’s findings.

Declan McCullagh, chief political correspondent for CNET (which is owned by CBS Interactive and is thus part of the “big six”) and Dan Rosenberg, a supposed security expert allegedly debunked Eckhart’s findings although their evidence is hardly compelling.

“The application does not record and transmit keystroke data back to carriers,” Rosenberg said, adding that after reverse-engineering the software he found that, “there is no code in Carrier IQ that actually records keystrokes for data collection purposes.”

What is his proof? Well, nothing other than CNET’s claim that Rosenberg “analyzed the assembly language code with a debugger that allowed him to look under the hood.”

We are simply supposed to believe this because he has discovered security vulnerabilities in various systems in the past, after all no one has ever misrepresented the truth for monetary compensation, right?

They also point to another “well-known security expert” named Rebecca Bace who claims that Carrier IQ gave her access to the company’s engineers and internal documents.

“I’m comfortable that the designers and implementers expended a great deal of discipline in focusing on the espoused goals of the software–to serve as a diagnostic aid for assuring quality of service and experience for mobile carriers,” Bace said.

That’s all well and good but the proof is in the pudding and here they’re just telling us that they have pudding somewhere – you just don’t get to see it or verify the veracity of the existence of the pudding.

After all, they’re the experts and we’re just supposed to take their word for it. I guess they missed the appeal to authority fallacy in their studies – or lack thereof – of logic.

Carrier IQ doesn’t even seem to be able to keep the story straight, with their Vice President Andrew Coward claiming that his statement in Wired was a misquote in which he said the software could read text messages.

However, during the interview he did clearly say that carriers are able to collect data which would be able to determine the exact person who is using the phone, what programs they are running, when they charge the battery, what calls they make and where, etc.

His statements are hardly reassuring, even if the claim that the Carrier IQ software does not function as a keylogger is true, which is hardly clear at this stage.

Coward and Carrier IQ have found themselves in a bit of an imbroglio, with Coward saying, “One of the lessons we’ve had from this … clearly we should not have done that cease and desist.”

“What may have been the right response three or four years ago may not be the right response for now and … and we apologized … we did not expect that we would need to be so open and transparent about everything… We recognized as the crisis kind of developed that that was required for us to clear our name. That was a huge learning process,” Coward told CNET.

I find it absolutely astounding that he apparently thinks they would never have to be open and transparent about what their software is collecting and for what purposes.

I guess Coward never thought that it would be discovered and exposed in the first place, so no contingency plan had been created to deal with the massive fallout which we are now witnessing.

When asked about their competitors, Coward said that they only offer over-the-air downloadable software, whereas the Carrier IQ software is embedded into the device to make it not only hard to detect but nearly impossible for any regular user to remove or control.

It gets even more interesting when we consider the fact that Coward (who was identified by The Washington Post as the senior vice president for marketing, a different title than what was given by CNET) revealed, “This week Carrier IQ sought meetings with the FTC and FCC to educate the two agencies … and answer any and all questions,” while adding that he was “not aware of an official investigation.”

Meanwhile, anonymous FTC officials said that they were conducting an inquiry into Carrier IQ and a spokeswoman for the FTC would not confirm or deny an investigation.

However, a public relations contractor for Carrier IQ named Mira Woods told The Washington Post in an email, “We are complying with all investigations at this time as we have nothing to hide … We have been completely transparent through this process.”

Later Woods requested that “investigations” be changed to “inquiries” likely because the statement implies that there are indeed investigations going on currently with which they are complying.

Woods said, “We sought the meetings with the FCC and FTC in the interest of transparency and full disclosure,” thereby claiming that they sought out the meetings and thus were not an investigation.

In an official statement issued later in the day, Carrier IQ said, “This week Carrier IQ sought meetings with the FTC and FCC to educate the two agencies about the functionality of its software and answer any and all questions. Although Congressman Edward J. Markey (D-Mass.), co-Chairman of the Bi-Partisan Congressional Privacy Caucus, has asked the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) to investigate the practices of Carrier IQ, we are not aware of an official investigation into Carrier IQ at this time.”

The situation gets even more interesting and complex when we consider the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) and their involvement in this debacle.

When Michael Morisy, a reporter for MuckRock News, filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request for “manuals, documents or other written guidance used to access or analyze data” which was obtained through any Carrier IQ program, the FBI denied the request because it was considered “law enforcement records.”

In response to Morisy’s request, the FBI wrote, “The information you requested is located in an investigative file which is exempt from disclosure.”

Paul Bresson, spokesman for the FBI, would not comment – meaning he would neither confirm nor deny, which in itself is a tacit confirmation – on if an investigation into Carrier IQ was ongoing or if they were utilizing the software for surveillance purposes of their own.

For anyone remotely familiar with issues like this, the words “plausible deniability” leap to mind.

In addressing the FBI’s connection to Carrier IQ, the company said that the data gathered by the software are “not designed for law enforcement agencies and to our knowledge [have] never been used by law enforcement agencies.”

However, this means little to nothing in today’s America in which the PATRIOT Act can gag anyone from speaking of the warrants or investigations conducted by the federal government.

Even if they had knowingly handed over data to the FBI or DHS, or perhaps built the software for that purpose from day one, they likely would be prevented from ever confirming that fact or even hinting at it.

In another statement Carrier IQ claimed, “Carrier IQ [has] no rights to the data gathered and [has] not passed data to third parties. Should a law enforcement agency request data from us, we would refer them to the network operators. To date and to our knowledge we have received no such requests.”

Once again, if they had received such requests, it is very likely the case that they wouldn’t be able to speak about it.

It is clear that it is not the innocent diagnostics tool they would like to make it out to be, as the official responses from some companies have shown.

In an official statement, Sprint said, “We collect enough information to understand the customer experience with devices on our network and how to address any connection problems, but we do not and cannot look at the contents of messages, photos, videos, etc. using this tool.”

The wording of this statement does, however, imply that the software is capable of doing these things, they just “do not and cannot” view it themselves.

Apple’s statement is most interesting, as they clearly indicate that the software is not only capable of recording keystrokes, but also is capable of recording messages or other personal information.

“We stopped supporting Carrier IQ with iOS 5 in most of our products and will remove it completely in a future software update. With any diagnostic data sent to Apple, customers must actively opt-in to share this information, and if they do, the data is sent in an anonymous and encrypted form and does not include any personal information. We never recorded keystrokes, messages, or any other personal information for diagnostic data and have no plans to ever do so,” the statement said.

The details surrounding Carrier IQ are still quite fuzzy at this point but it is clear that it is not just a diagnostic tool collecting anonymous information to make our user experience better.

Like so much Big Brother technology, it is billed under one purpose and yet is capable of so much more.

Another trend we see repeating here is the constant contradictions, confusion, and misinformation or even disinformation pumped out by the establishment media and their “experts.”

I will continue to follow this story and write future articles about it as more information becomes available and a more clear picture of what this is really up to begins to emerge.

Suffice it to say, I’m not ignorant or naïve enough to think that this isn’t being used to collect private, sensitive data from millions of devices across the United States which is then funneled to centralized government databases.

It would be nice to think this wasn’t the case but I would have to throw out literally everything I have learned in my research, all of which is based in irrefutable facts which one has to either delusionally refuse to pay attention to the information or accept as a reality of the global police state control grid under which we currently live.

Globalists Grind Development to a Halt in Myanmar (Burma).

By Tony Cartalucci
BlacklistedNews.com

Part of a strategy to confound Chinese expansion, part of a long Malthusian tradition of stifling human progress, the gears of progress have been ground to a halt in yet another sovereign nation at the hands of Wall Street and London’s global corporate-financier interests and their stable of non-governmental organizations (NGOs).

Image: The Myitsone Dam, on its way to being the 15th largest in the world until construction was halted in September by a campaign led by Wall Street-puppet Aung San Suu Kyi, a stable of US-funded NGOs, and a terrorist campaign executed by armed groups operating in Kachin State, Myanmar.

….

The Myitsone Dam, to be located on the Irrawaddy River in the northern Myanmar state of Kachin, will be billed as a “mega-dam,” the 15th largest in the world and to produce an estimated 3,600 to 6,000 megawatts of electricity if constructed. The dam was to be built as a joint venture between the Myanmar Ministry of Electric Power, Asia World Company, and the China Power Investment Corporation. After completion, the dam was to export a large percentage of its power to China’s Yunnan province, which would be taxed and provide revenue for the Myanmar government, while the remaining power would be used domestically. This dam would be managed by China under a 50 year deal before being turned over fully to Myanmar.

As a major infrastructure project, and therefore a long-term national asset, the dam would represent a major step in developing Myanmar’s rivers not just for power production, but also for flood control, navigation, and irrigation.

Despite this opportunity to develop Myanmar’s infrastructure and waterways, there has been fierce opposition to the construction of not just the Myitsone Dam, but any dam along Myanmar’s rivers. While topics like relocations and fair compensation are more than reasonable issues to raise, the main issue that continuously, and suspiciously turns up is instead “environmental impact.” In other words, the backlash in Myanmar isn’t about how the dams will be built or how those affected will be compensated, but rather a complete, permanent halt on ever developing Myanmar’s rivers.

Not only does this affect China’s investments in Myanmar and their ability to source energy from the region, but it also permanently arrests Myanmar’s development as a modern nation-state. Because even if Myanmar decides to develop their rivers in the future on their own, the obstacles of “environmentalism” and “biodiversity” will still remain.

US NGOs Stopped Construction, Not the People of Myanmar.

While the Western corporate media portrays the opposition as the “will of the people,” a sentiment echoed in Myanmar President Thein Sein’s speech announcing his decision to finally halt construction, upon closer examination we find that is it anything but. Calls to halt construction came from a predictable mixture of Western-funded NGOs working directly with foreign-based umbrella organizations. Additionally, an insidious network of foreign-funded “independent media” organizations supported the NGOs’ efforts within Myanmar and were repeatedly cited by international reports.

One of the most prominent of these NGOs is the “Burma River Network” (BRN). While BRN’s website fails to mention where they get their funding or who they are affiliated with, California-based, Ford Foundation, Sigrid Rausing Trust, Tides Foundation, Open Society-funded “International Rivers (page 3)” who is also active in blocking the development of Myanmar’s rivers, gives them away by listing them as “partners” alongside the “Kachin Development Networking Group” (KDNG). Together these organizations interlock, cross-reference, and cross-post with other US-funded NGOs operating in Myanmar. These include the Irrawaddy, Era Journal, and the Democratic Voice of Burma, all admitted by the Burma Campaign UK (page 15) to be funded by the National Endowment for Democracy (NED) along with “Mizzima” also fully funded by NED and Soros’ Open Society.

Of course, each weighed in on the proposed dam, and each portrayed it as having a negative social and environmental impact on Kachin State. US-based International Rivers hailed the halting of construction as a “huge success for civil society groups in Burma, China and internationally,” while NED-created Irrawaddy solemnly reported in 2008, “Irrawaddy Dam Construction Begins, Human Rights Abuses Begin,” where the article bemoans China’s investments in Myanmar before citing a single, anonymous “witness” who claims soldiers providing security for the construction site are disrupting people – as proof of “human rights abuses.” The Irrawaddy also makes reference to the “Kachin Environmental Organization,” a founding member of the above mentioned “Burma River Network,” who in turn has dedicated entire sections of their website to chastising all dam construction within Myanmar.

Ring-Leader Aung San Suu Kyi Never Far Behind.

Of course, the primary reason globalists fund “civil society” NGOs is to entirely subvert and replace a target nation’s functioning sovereign government. They then interlock their “civil society” with a global homogenous administrative network that in turn answers to contrived “international institutions” like the International Criminal Court and the UN. This foreign-funded state-within-a-state when fully established, carries out the agenda of its foreign sponsors generally under the cover of human rights or environmental concerns, or in the case of the Myitsone Dam, both. Every civil society deep-state needs a leader, and in Myanmar that leader is decidedly Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Aung San Suu Kyi.

As reported previously, Aung San Suu Kyi’s entire existence, as documented by the Burma Campaign UK is owed to both US and British foreign-aid and assistance. It should then be no surprise that Suu Kyi took a leading role protesting and ultimately halting the construction of the Myitsone Dam. The globalist-funded International Rivers reported, “Aung San Suu Kyi Joins the Campaign to Save the Irrawaddy,” while the NED-created Irrawaddy paper reported, “Suu Kyi Attends ‘Save the Irrawaddy’ Art Event.”

Toward the end of September 2011, BBC would finally report the success of Suu Kyi and her army of NGOs in an article titled, “Burma dam: Why Myitsone plan is being halted.” The article cited as reasons for the halt, both alleged inequities within the Myanmar-China deal and repetitive claims that dam was a direct threat to the lives and livelihood of the people living in the area. Of course, the BBC’s sources included the above mentioned US-funded International Rivers as well as the armed separatists of the Kachin Independence Organization, who to this day are still fighting against the Myanmar government.

When considering the substantial amount of money US NED puts into Myanmar, which it still refers to as “Burma” on its website, and the manner in which NED divides up its funding by ethnic group instead of amongst the “noble causes” it claims to promote, a clear pattern of promoting Balkanization can be seen – undercutting the legitimacy of the West’s official narrative regarding the dam and the state of affairs in Kachin even further.

Division, Destitution, then Foreign-Domination.

Indeed, a concerted effort is being made to Balkanize Myanmar while simultaneously disrupting Chinese investment in the nation. By halting infrastructure development, the only real means of producing wealth and progress, the West leaves Myanmar with empty pockets and only guns to placate a destitute population that is increasingly poisoned rhetorically and divided tactically by an endless torrent of foreign “social development aid.”

As these foreign-funded deep-states rise and increasingly disrupt the central government’s ability to function as a sovereign nation-state, the proper climate will exist for the US to trigger, as it did in the Middle East, an “Asian Spring.” It’s seditious, progress-arresting networks have already crept across Southeast Asia. Recently, US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton revealed within the pages of Foreign Policy magazine, plans for “America’s Pacific Century,” the goal of which is to assemble an ASEAN coalition and then align it against China’s emergence as a world power.

As in the Middle East, the ultimate goal is further isolating Moscow and Beijing and ultimately achieving a unipolar international order within which both potential superpowers will be folded. Those looking at Myanmar’s “civil society success” against China’s attempt to develop their waterways must be asking themselves what the West, who played a self-serving central role in the campaign, will replace China’s offer with. The answer is nothing.

In exchange for a mega-dam that would have constituted a tangible, revenue and electric generating national asset, the West is giving the people of Myanmar arrested development, the “natural preservation” of their nation, and so-called “social progress.” That is, of course, until at the right moment, the West can enter with their own corporations and strip mine a nation that allowed itself to be divided, weakened, and left without the modern infrastructure and industrial capacity needed not only to sustain a modern civilization, but needed to make a nation self-sufficient, competitive and capable of defending itself.

Open Letter to Mayor Sam Adams from Occupy Portland Liason Team

Introduction by Mark Vorpahl

The following Open Letter is from the Occupy Portland Liaison Team to Portland Mayor Sam Adams. It was written in the wake of not only massive police violence against the supporters of the Occupy Movement in Portland on the weekend of November 12-13, but of actions against the Occupy Movement in more than a dozen other cities as well. This attempt to repress an emerging movement that speaks to the interests of all working people was coordinated, and its tactics were systematically developed on a national level. From local Mayors and police forces to President Obama’s Homeland Security, the Justice Department and the FBI, the 1% aligned its agents to counter the democratic rights and peaceful arguments of the Occupy Movement in the language of violent baton attacks, arrests, non-lethal ammo, and tear gas.

The role of Portland Democrat Mayor Sam Adams was particularly insidious. After the establishment of Occupy Portland with a 10,000-strong demonstration, Adams was quick to pose as a friend of the movement, as this letter explains. Occupy Portland responded to this friendly facade with a sincere attempt to build a bridge with the Mayor’s office. Adams’ posture, however, was more a testament to his clever deceptive maneuvering than his sincerity. The actions he implemented this last weekend looked no different than the actions of Republican Mayors who were openly hostile to the Occupy Movement from the beginning. As the letter states:

Despite our efforts, over the weekend, you decided to cave to pressure from your friends at the Portland Business Alliance, the Police Association and other groups interested in maintaining the status quo of economic injustice and issued us an eviction notice. Instead of allowing us to address conditions within our encampment in a transparent and democratic way you chose to enlist the full apparatus of police repression to destroy our encampment.

The tactics of Mayor Adams are familiar to any trade unionist who has been involved in a struggle with his or her employer. Frequently, employers will pretend to want “what is best for their workers.” It does not take too long for the workers to realize, however, that what the employer really wants is more profits that they attempt to gain by destroying the workers’ ability to unite in concerted collective action. Adams acted according to a similar plan against Occupy Portland on behalf of the city’s and the nation’s big business interests.

Experience is the most effective teacher, and the mass collective action of the Occupy Movement is teaching on a mass level. It is clear from the statement below that Occupy Portland has learned a good amount about where the likes of smooth talking “liberal” Democratic Mayors line up when the interests of the 1% are challenged and whose side the state is on when conflict emerges between the 1% and the 99%. It states:

We are open to working with City Hall on many issues but our trust in you and in the Portland Police Bureau has been severely broken.

The Occupy Movement cannot be stopped by the destruction of its encampments, especially now that this movement has awakened the class consciousness of millions of working people across the country. With its evolving unifying message of “We Are the 99%,” it will move forward after the events of this last weekend wiser and stronger.

November 15, 2011

An Open Letter to Mayor Sam Adams:

We, as members of the Occupy Portland Liaison Team, are officially resigning from our roles as city and police liaisons for the Occupy Portland movement. This is in direct response to the deplorable police actions of this past weekend and your refusal to communicate clearly with us during that time.

We were specifically asked by City Hall to create this Liaison Team, for the purpose of facilitating clear communication between city government, police and the Occupy Portland movement. We worked hard to assemble a capable team of activists to act as a conduit of information as agreed upon by our General Assembly.

Initial meetings were amiable and seemingly productive, as your staff was able to express concerns, some of which we shared, about conditions within the encampment. We facilitated communication and followed up by working closely with city employees and our own volunteers to address issues relevant to camp safety.

There were no efforts made by the Portland Police Bureau to communicate to Occupy Portland Police Liaisons or members of our Liaison Team during the events that transpired over the course of Saturday November 12th through Sunday November 13th. We find this highly disturbing since we were asked by your office to be the conduit of information to and from Occupy Portland.

It seems that when City Hall wants something from us you make every effort to reach out, but when you plan to do something to us, communication is halted and you let the police do the talking with their batons. Our trust in City Hall was apparently misplaced.

Thousands of Portland residents of all ages came out over the weekend to support us and help defend our constitutional right to peaceful assembly. They were greeted by hundreds of militarized riot police armed with tasers, stun batons, beanbag weapons, tear gas, pepper spray and live ammunition. This was shocking to many of us who did not expect you to respond to unarmed, peaceful and joyful protest with potentially deadly force. The next day we observed police officers clubbing our fellow citizens and friends with batons, throwing people to the ground and making many unnecessary arrests in the process of destroying our encampment.

An example of this blatant police brutality is the violent attack on Justin James Bridges, the sign language interpreter for Occupy Portland. After repeatedly communicating to Portland Police officers that he had a broken back, police officers responded by beating him and putting a knee into his back. He was hospitalized and lost feeling and control of movement in one arm and one leg due to the unreasonable and excessive physical aggression inflicted by these police officers. Justin was released from the hospital yesterday after spending the night in the hospital. Justin is now in a wheelchair.

You told us on the first day of our protest that you were sympathetic to the goals of our movement and wanted to help find a solution that works for everybody. The behavior over the weekend of police officers under your command has clearly indicated otherwise. Yours is the latest in a string of aggressive, dangerous crackdowns by city and state governments across the nation attempting to silence the Occupy movement.

You claim to support us and yet you tell your police force to destroy us. Peaceful citizens are being injured in the process.

This is not democratic; it is autocratic. Portland expects more from its City Government.

Signing on to ending corporate personhood and changing campaign finance laws amounts to a conveniently timed attempt to restore your declining reputation among members of the progressive left. While we agree with these goals, offering piecemeal crumbs of liberal reform is not acceptable as an olive branch to our movement.

We have said from day one that our fight is not with you, but rather with banks, irresponsible corporations and a corrupt federal government. By camping outside of City Hall we gave you a choice to decide to stand with us and with working class Americans. Instead you made the choice to protect unjust social and economic policies that are leading our nation into a state of financial ruin and institutionalized oppression. The actions of the Portland Police have made it clear where you stand and no amount of political grandstanding will justify your creation of a police state in downtown Portland.

We at Occupy Portland will continue to make our message heard and to stand firmly in opposition to policies and decisions that perpetuate oppression and injustice.

We are open to working with City Hall on many issues but our trust in you and in the Portland Police Bureau has been severely broken. This trust can be somewhat repaired if you choose to apologize for the actions of those under your command this weekend and hold all officers fully accountable for their use of excessive physical violence against unarmed peaceful protesters. Please address your apology to those injured, to Occupy Portland, the Liaison Team and to the Occupy Movement.

In response to your “offer” of support yesterday, we ask that you make public all raw unedited police footage related to Occupy Portland. We await your apology and delivery of this footage with an open mind because we believe there is potential for collaboration with city government in the future.

Despite acting in the interests of corporate elites, you, Sam Adams, are also part of the 99 percent. There will always be a place for you in our movement, should you honestly choose to join us.

There is a growing convergence of thinking about where the US Occupy movement should go as a next step to turning its values, concerns and commitments into changing what most Americans see as broken government under control of corporate interests. When it comes to political and social movements, history shows us that they usually fail not because they disappear, but rather because they become marginalized, unimportant despite a core group of committed people and groups.

They lose popular appeal and support or never expand beyond a small early group of supporters. The nation and many supporters move on. Other movements grab the interest of the most informed, dissident-type people seeking truth, justice or change. A good example of such a failed contemporary movement is the 911 truth effort. The groups, websites and true believers keep on pushing their objectives a decade after the historic event. But the goal of revealing what really happened that the official government story does not divulge is like a moldy piece of forgotten food in the refrigerator.

Movement death by inattention happens despite good resources, charismatic leaders and even great organization and communication skills. Critical mass of public support simply never materializes, in large measure because diverse segments of the population never buy into the central arguments of the movement. The Internet is littered with websites of activist groups that persist despite clear evidence of decay and wide disinterest. True believers have a mission in life tied to their egos that prevent them from admitting defeat. They do not move on.

The biggest mistake that passionate advocates for a cause make is overestimating their ability to reach critical mass and underestimating the competition of other movements with greater appeal which rob them of both attention and supporters.

Make no mistake; I totally and enthusiastically support the Occupy movement because it offers the prospect of producing reforms to fix our broken government and attracting very wide public support for a nonviolent Second American Revolution. What worries me, however, is that many of its participants seem over confident, as if they cannot fail. On the other hand, I have become impressed by a convergence of thinking about what the next big step for the Occupy movement can and should be. I will briefly identify examples of this convergent thinking.

Canadian author Erich Koch has written a compelling article: An Objective for the U.S. Occupy Movement: A Constitutional Convention. He buys into the view that the Occupy movement could embrace the thinking of Harvard Professor Lawrence Lessig who has presented the case for amendments to fix Congress. Like others Koch is correct in saying that “No one in the movement would disagree with its main point: the fundamental problem is the corruption of Congress.” Unlike others, Koch recognizes the path for obtaining reform constitutional amendments is using the provision in Article V for a convention of state delegates, having the same power as Congress in proposing amendments that still must be ratified by three-quarters of the states. It has never been used despite many hundreds of state requests for a convention because, clearly, Congress and most status quo forces fear such a convention.

Koch cited a great article by Alesh Houdek: Has a Harvard Professor Mapped Out the Next Step for Occupy Wall Street? Most is a review of Lessig’s book. Correctly noted about using the convention option is “it bypasses the usual means of reform (Congress, presidential elections, etc.) which the lobbyists and other interested parties have learned so well to manipulate. And lastly, such a convention would be free to propose solutions that would otherwise be subject to be stricken as unconstitutional by the Supreme Court.” This is critical to understand. Houdek concludes: “Properly presented, the strategies and aims of Lessig’s book could make it the handbook the protesters have been looking for — and provide a pathway for them to ride out the winter ahead.”

Dan Froomkin also has presented the same case in: Lawrence Lessig’s New Book On Political Corruption Offers Protesters A Possible Manifesto. He quoted what Lessig himself had said in an article about the Occupy movement and the concern that I share, namely that the Occupy movement “will become too diffuse and not focused” on the root issue of corruption of government. And that the movement will only grow “if a wide range of people can be part of it.” This requires coalescing around an issue “as fundamental as the corruption of the system.” Only a constitutional amendment can fix the corrupting impact of money in politics. This is also the focus of Dylan Ratigan’s fine effort, except that the use of the convention path has not been emphasized.

A specific call for an Article V convention was made by the pro-Occupy US Day of Rage group: “We are organizing a coordinated national campaign at local and state levels, including where necessary the occupation of state capitols, in order to demand an article V constitutional convention be called to restore representative democracy to our nation.” A set of specific reforms to be fix the corruption-money problem are presented.

The 99 Percent Declaration group has also presented an important statement centered on the call for a National General Assembly, where delegates would formulate a petition of a list of grievances that would be delivered to the main parts of the federal government on behalf of 99 percent of Americans. A suggested list of grievances includes the need for constitutional amendments to achieve solutions, but only for a few of the issues. Not explicitly acknowledged, however, is that constitutional amendments, not ordinary laws, would be necessary for other solutions, such as term limits for Congress and abandoning the Electoral College. Moreover, there is no specific recognition that serious amendment reforms will not be proposed by Congress, and that an Article V convention is needed. Inattention to method was also the shortcoming of a similar list of solutions by Ralph Lopez.

Author Scott Turow has presented: How Occupy Wall Street Can Restore Clout of the 99%. His recommendation to the Occupy movement is “work across the nation for a constitutional amendment requiring Congress to regulate the expenditure of private money on elections. … The best antidote to this imbalance of income and influence would be to greatly reduce the role of private funding in our elections. …As for the Occupy Wall Street movement, it has been criticized by some for not having a realistic agenda, even though polling shows that millions of Americans, including me, are sympathetic to the basic message of the protests.” His prescription: “rally around a single goal and reinvigorate their movement.” Fine, but missing from his analysis is the recognition that Congress will never propose reform amendments, only an Article V convention will do the job.

This sampling of recent writings clearly shows convergent thinking that the Occupy movement can and should focus on key reform constitutional amendments and, second, that some better informed critical thinkers recognize, this requires advocacy for using the Article V convention option that Congress has refused to honor.

As to Occupy movement success, I want again to emphasize that there is always competition for the attention and support of concerned Americans who recognize how broken our system is. In particular, the well financed Americans Elect effort is impressive. Because it is offering an alternative path to nominating a presidential candidate in 2012, over 2 million Americans have already signed up to be delegates for a web convention, with millions more very likely as the mainstream media keeps giving this effort attention. Disgust with the two-party plutocracy is surely shared by Occupy participants and supporters. But for movement success based on enticing many millions of Americans, the Occupy movement cannot ignore competition such as Americans Elect. This means that the Occupy movement must explicitly start making the case to the broad public why their effort can achieve more of what is needed. This is easily done.

Here are some key concepts that the Occupy movement could use. No matter who is nominated by Americans Elect, the odds are that either the better financed Democrat or Republican candidate will win the presidency. This may just require spending even more millions of dollars on campaigns. And whoever is nominated by the group will likely be strongly linked to one of the two major parties, rather than some courageous reformer and enemy of the status quo. Moreover, this group does not offer a realistic path to getting the key reforms of the system that most of us see critically needed, such as constitutional amendments, already recognized by many Occupy supporters.

A sign of trouble for the Occupy movement is a recent national poll that found: “In the latest survey, 33 percent voiced support for Occupy Wall Street, down from 35 percent in a previous poll, while opposition to the movement climbed from 36 percent to 45 percent. Twenty-two percent were unsure.” These results are worse than earlier polls. From the left, Chris Bowers commented: “the decline in Occupy Wall Street’s image is probably more connected to the increasingly negative coverage of the clashes between protesters and police than it is to declining support for movement’s message.” Now is the time to move the message from what is wrong to solutions, using an Occupy Congress approach. Otherwise, this view from the conservative right might prevail: “OWS will linger … but I’d argue we’ve seen the movement’s high tide. It will now recede into a mere annoying shadow of itself as support is withdrawn by political figures and organizations.”

True, Occupy movement success is not inevitable. The movement must better define what success means and how it can be achieved if it is to attract and keep the support of many millions of Americans. It needs specificity for its solutions that ordinary Americans can relate to. Never underestimate the power and commitment of status quo forces to maintain control over the political, government and economic system that has so harmed most Americans. The fight against the Occupy movement mostly seen as local police violence against peaceful demonstrators and protesters as well disinformation from some news outlets and pundits are nothing compared to what could be mounted if the movement is viewed as more threatening to the status quo delusional democracy with its delusional prosperity.

What worked in ancient times more than ever applies now, given instant ways of communicating globally and super-weapons Washington and Israel threaten to use like hand grenades.

In “Doctor Faustus”, Christopher Marlowe mentioned “the face that launched a thousand ships.” He referred to Helen of Troy (formerly of Sparta).

To win her back, Greeks launched 1,000 warships. According to Greek mythology, the Trojan War followed.

Homer’s Odyssey and Iliad recounted it. So did Roman poets Virgil and Ovid. Homer said it lasted 10 years. Mythological goddess quarrels started it.

Real, mythological, or fabricated reasons work equally well. Then it was Athena and Hera v. Aphrodite. Today it’s “war on terror” fear tactics.

Near its end, Greeks entered Troy in a Trojan Horse. America’s perhaps was 9/11. Both were duplicitous acts used to ravage targeted enemies.

The expression, “beware of Greeks bearing gifts” originated from back then. According to Homer and other Greek literature, they burned the city, captured Trojan women, rescued Helen, and returned her to Menelaus, her husband.

Fear, misinformation, and deceit work best enlisting popular support, whether in ancient China, Greece or modern times. Television today supplies it.

From its earliest days, it lied, distracted, entertained, and provided a platform for corporate America to control thought, manipulate public opinion, and sell people junk they don’t need.

In a June 1950 commencement speech, Boston University President Daniel Marsh said, “If the (television) craze continues….we are destined to have a nation of morons.”

In May 1961, Kennedy’s FCC chairman Newton Minow called commercial television a “vast wasteland.” He suggested watching it for a day “without a book, without a magazine, without a newspaper,” with no distractions.

“Keep your eyes glued to that set until the station signs off” as it once did before 24 broadcasting. “I can assure you that what you will observe is a vast wasteland, (a) procession of game shows, (nonsensical) formula comedies….blood and thunder, mayhem, violence, sadism, murder, western bad men, western good men, private eyes, gangsters, more violence, and cartoons.”

“And endless commercials – many screaming, cajoling, and offending….And if you think I exaggerate….try it.”

Try it now. It’s the same on hundreds of channels round the clock ad nauseam.

Communication theorist/media critic George Gerbner once said television has nothing to tell and everything to sell.

In his book, “Amusing Ourselves to Death,” Neil Postman said “Americans are the most entertained and least informed people in the world,” knowing little or nothing about what matters most.

Famed comedian Ernie Kovacs once said television is called a medium because it’s neither rare or well done.

Because most people rely on it for news and information, a nation of “morons” lets America get away with murder.

America’s Permanent War Agenda

In his book titled, “Perpetual War for Perpetual Peace,” Gore Vidal said:

“our rulers for more than half a century have made sure that we are never to be told the truth about anything that our government has done to other people, not to mention our own.”

In his book titled, “Dreaming War,” he compared GW Bush’s imperial ambitions to WW II and subsequent Truman Doctrine pledge:

“To support free peoples who are resisting attempted subjugation by armed minorities or by outside pressures.”

At issue was keeping Greece and Turkey from going communist. Applied globally, it initiated America’s National Security State strategy.

Ever since, it lurched from one war to another to benefit war profiteers and advance America’s imperium, no matter the body count to achieve both.

In his 1953 collection of historical revisionist essays titled, “Perpetual War for Perpetual Peace: A Critical Examination of the Foreign Policy of Franklin Delano Roosevelt and It’s Aftermath,” Harry Elmer Barnes wrote:

“If trends continue as they have during the last fifteen years, we shall soon reach (the) point of no return, and can only anticipate interminable wars, disguised as noble gestures for peace.”

“Such an era could only culminate in a third world war which might well, as Arnold J. Toynbee has suggested, leave only the pygmies in remote jungles, or even the apes and ants, to carry on ‘the cultural traditions’ of mankind.”

Deception, misinformation, popular fiction, and Big Lies launch wars – all of them. Television today incites them. Earlier times, however had other ways to enlist public support or at least avoid opposition enough to stop them.

Historian Gabriel Kolko explained nothing good about “the good war,” WW II, or any others. None achieve peace, security and stability. One conflict begets others. Endless destructive cycles follow. Countless millions die. Vast destruction ravages countries. Human misery, not liberation, results.

Since the 19th century, imperial wars shaped American life. Waging them is prioritized. Technological expertise produces killing machines. Industrial America suffered.

Human needs go unmet, today more than ever in modern times. State capitalism partners with business waging war. Uneducated, disadvantaged, impoverished, disconnected, restless, angry millions get left on their own sink or swim.

Others go to war to get killed, injured, maimed, or emotionally scared for life with nothing in return benefitting them.

In his January 1961 farewell address, Dwight Eisenhower warned about:

the “military-industrial complex,” citing the “grave implications” of a “coalition of the military and industrialists who profit by manufacturing arms and selling them to the government.”

He said “we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence….by the military-industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist.”

He added that:

“Every gun that is made, every war ship launched, every rocket fired signifies, in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, from those who are cold and not clothed….”

Today, dominant “iron triangle” authority runs America’s war machine. With sitting presidents, it consists of Congress, the Pentagon, and defense industry profiteers, including producers of sophisticated technology for digital age warfare Eisenhower couldn’t have imagined.

In combination, they addicted the nation to war, not for threats. It’s for power and profits. Why else would war be America’s business!

In his book titled, “JFK and the Unspeakable: Why He Died and Why It Matters,” James Douglas discussed many reasons. Key was his opposition to force.

After the Joint Chiefs demanded troops for Laos, he told Geneva Conference representative Averell Harriman:

“Did you understand? I want a negotiated settlement in Laos. I don’t want to put troops in.”

He opposed nuclear weapons use in Berlin and Southeast Asia. During the 1962 Cuban missile crisis, he refused to bomb or invade. Afterwards he said, “I never had the slightest intention of doing so.”

In June 1963 (a few months before his assassination), he called for abolishing nuclear weapons, ending the Cold War, and advancing “general and complete disarmament.”

In October 1963, he signed National Security Action Memorandum (NSAM) 263 to withdraw 1,000 US forces from Vietnam by year end and all of them by 1965.

He wanted “to splinter the CIA in a thousand pieces and scatter it to the winds.”

Before Gaza, the West Bank and East Jerusalem were occupied, he supported UN Resolution 194, authorizing diaspora Palestinians’ right of return they never got.

He wanted the American Zionist Council (AIPAC’s original name) registered as a foreign agent. He opposed Israel’s nuclear weapons program.

He wanted peace, not conflicts. It cost him his life. Future presidents got the message. The rest, as they say, is history.

Canadian Law Professor Michael Mandel explained imperial America’s lawlessness in his 2004 book titled, “How America Gets Away with Murder: Illegal Wars, Collateral Damage, and Crimes Against Humanity.”

He discussed Justice Robert’s Jackson’s Nuremberg “supreme crime” declaration. It’s more than ever relevant given America’s out-of-control belligerence, ravaging the world one country at a time or in multiples.

At Nuremberg, Jackson said:

“To initiate a war of aggression….is not only an international crimes; it is the supreme international crimes differing only from the other war crimes in that it contains within itself the accumulated evil of the whole.”

In 1950, the Nuremberg Tribunal defined crimes against peace as:

“(i) Planning, preparation, initiation or waging of a war of aggression or a war in violation of international treaties, agreements or assurances; (and)

(ii) Participation in a common plan or conspiracy for the accomplishment of any of the acts mentioned under (i).”

After WW I, Kellogg-Briand in 1928 renounced aggressive war, prohibiting its use as “an instrument of national policy,” except in self-defense.

Sixty-three nations were signatories, including America, Britain, France, Germany, Italy, Soviet Russia, and Japan. The US Senate approved the treaty 85 – 1. Like Nuremberg, it’s binding international law.

Washington’s war machine hardly slowed. WW II followed as well as perpetual others thereafter. Even then, the business of America was war. It’s more than ever that today.

Its “scourge” wants power, profits and unchallenged dominance. Today, America wages it globally against humanity. International law is defied. So is morality and common sense.

International peace, security, stability, equity, justice, and freedom are non-starters. Only war spoils matter, including benefits derived from them in all forms.

Since WW II, America, its NATO partners and Israel waged regular aggressive wars. Millions of noncombatant civilians perished. Appalling human suffering resulted.

Washington’s imperial war machine is today’s greatest threat, ravaging the world one country at a time. Congressional authority was abdicated. Presidents can act on their own.

In September 2001, Congress approved the Authorization for Use of Military Force (AUMF) for “the use of United States Armed Forces against those responsible for the recent attacks launched against the United States.”

“War on terror” authority accelerated permanent wars. Presidents now wage them at their discretion.

Where it all ends, who knows. No one’s able to stop them. Short of finding a way, free societies, planet earth and humanity hang in the balance. Even risks that great are ignored.

All throughout history the elite have had a aim to destroy all knowledge of the true origin of humanity. We had the roman empire destroy and burn all books, the nazis did the same thing. the roman catholic church destroyed the wisdom of sophia by burning so called witches. Woman gave herbs to woman ease in childbirth. The pharmaceutical industry is trying to eliminate natural herbal remedies. All the books in the world cannot hold the sayings of christ, books are made from paper paper comes from trees, truly christ was killed on a tree, {I paul walked through the fire}.
We live in a planned society and there is no peace in any age .The Wars of jehovah’s /and the wars of the pharaohs continue to this day. Blood is spilt on the planet through wars and conflict. Nothing happens on this planet by accident. The elite keep humanity fighting between themselves until no humanity is left. One sees the military parading the cross above there units, with the slogan “kill em if they don’t believe in jesus. The hymn song should go , onwards mason soldiers marching on to war, with the cross of jabolun marching on before, the militaries war machine is creating a heaven on earth regime, in other words a alien resurrection. This is the true nature of british israel, a new front for socialism, the last being the nazis under hitler. There aim is the cleansing of the earth of humanity as gods sanctuary, in preparation for the fullness of the kingdom of heaven on earth.
What have the elite done to this being of great light, they ascribe wars, to his name. IT is not my will that is strong, but the christ consciousness within.
The early christians came to regard the cross as an emblem of Rex Mundi – icon of domination and control. Rex Mundi means roma – rome archon lord of the material world.

We have a predator that came out of the depth of the cosmos and took over our lives. This predator is our lord and master. It has rendered us docile, helpless. Indeed we are held prisoner. Christ said he was the servant, not the master.

We hear from the elites puppets, (presidents and ministers) about a possible alien invasion. Bulshit, Humanity is not about to be invaded. Humanity is not in the middle of an invasion. Humanity has been invaded a very long time ago, and this invasion is nearly in its final stages.
Great invasions do not happen with thundering smoke and nuclear weaponry , like the west’s attack in the middle east. This is the mark of an immature society. Great invasions happen in secrecy.
This is ultimate EVIL.
The elite and its military war machine , there aim seems to be to destroy innocent woman and children and since the middle east is a cauldron of ancient knowledge, this must be either destroyed or under the west’s control.
Hide the truth and the truth becomes your enemy. disclose the truth and it becomes your Weapon. We hide the truth and the elite and e.t powers use it against us, like onward mason soldiers, like dust scattered over the desert.

We live in a world of control. Religions, governments and there militaries, we are told are fighting for freedom, freedom for who. Only christ can set the captives free, Free humanity from within, the christ within. Satan goes around the world like a roaring lion seeking to destroy and devour- is this the lion of the military.? THE GREAT ARCHITECT OF THE UNIVERSE, THE DEVIL- THE HIGHEST GOD(LIE) OF THIS MATERIAL UNIVERSE. Why do the military need weapons;- only satins forces require weapons. #IF OUR CREATOR IS WITH YOU WHO IS AGAINST YOU. What is the true reason for the west’s conquest of the middle east. It is the cradle of ancient civilisation, they either want control of the area to control ancient stargate technology or keep a censor of the vast store of information that is stored in this area. One example was the the discovery of the nag hag gnostic papers in 1945 which reveals a lot of ancient knowledge. How much more information, now that the militaries now control this area, has gone missing. Look at the looting of the famous bagdad museum during the occupation of iraq, ancient knowledge lost forever. The future is being written now, and its not humanities true future. We are constantly being told that we are living in the end of days, the end of what? An excerpt from Rene Guenon explains it beautifully, “it can be said in all truth that the end of a wolrd’ never is and never can be anything but the end of an illusion!.
Humanity needs a wake up call. Christ coming is about waking us up from this false reality we live, “set the captives free from this matrix of power we presently live in. does not the bible say , in the beginning was the word. “Why do you look for the end, take your place at the beginning and you will not experience death. The book of life is opening up, let Us be part of it!
HOW THE WEST WAS LOST -( HUMAN BEINGS}- THEY POINT WITH THERE FINGERS AND FEET, THEY ARE PLANNING EVIL. they are masons and terrs. { The wars of jehovah }. One can see what this means by observing the pictorial language of the egyptians on the walls of there temples. 2012 – the happening – something will take place – Our dead batteries will get a jump start, we will be changed in an instant – changed to our true human heritage.

A Change in War Policy?

By Mark Vorpahl

Two back-to-back victories, from the point of view of those in power, has left some commentators speculating that U.S. foreign policy has turned a page towards a less militaristic approach under the guidance of President Obama. These events are the killing of Colonel Qaddafi, leading Libya’s new leaders to declare liberation, followed by Obama’s announcement that all U.S. troops in Iraq will be back home by the end of the year.

Those claiming that these events mark a shift away from the militaristic approach adopted by former President Bush justify their position with a superficial analysis. For them U.S. foreign policy is determined by the cleverness and stated intentions of leading government officials, looking at leaders such as President Obama in isolation from the powerful economic interests they represent. History is reduced to a parade of personalities rather than the play of larger social forces that appear in the political realm today. Consequently, starting from a superficial premise, they end up with wrong conclusions regarding the significance of historical events. This approach sheds no light on what is happening in Libya and Iraq, but it is useful for President Obama’s re-election campaign.

Like former President Bush, President Obama’s first and foremost preoccupation is pursuing a foreign policy that increases the power and profits of U.S. corporations on a global scale. Any tactical shift in approach must be viewed with this in mind. The ends justify the means in foreign policy and in order to understand recent developments, we must comprehend how this policy serves the wealthy interests behind Obama.

The Iraq War Ends?

The withdrawal of U.S. troops from Iraq is a partial concession to public sentiment that is overwhelmingly opposed to this war. Continuing the Iraq occupation on the scale it has been pursued can only be a source of political instability in this country. At the same time, however, the withdrawal of U.S. troops is a concession to the people of Iraq, since their hatred for the U.S. military prevented Iraqi government officials from offering immunity to U.S. soldiers from prosecution for crimes they commit in Iraq. Had the public sentiment been different, the Iraqi government would have been glad to offer the immunity. However, this withdrawal has only occurred after Iraq’s oil industry has been privatized, allowing U.S. companies to snatch up the lion’s share, and a government has been cobbled together that is dependent on maintaining this and other business arrangements conducive to U.S. corporate profits and control.

At best, after the destruction of Iraq’s once strong infrastructure, the killing of an estimated million and a half Iraqis, the deaths of 4,400 Americans, and the squandering of nearly $1 trillion during a time of economic crisis, President Obama’s announcement is more bitter than sweet. Yet, on closer inspection, it is far from an end to the occupation it is being touted as. Sixteen thousand “civilian employees,” who are largely armed independent contractors, will remain. While this is useful for securing corporate interests, it will be a continuing source of violence and instability in Iraq. What is more, this presence will act as a foot in the door for again escalating the presence of U.S. troops, should the need arise.

??

Regime Change in Libya

In Libya, Gaddafi’s killing is being proclaimed as an event marking that nation’s liberation and an example of how President Obama’s approach of creating coalitions and making partnerships with other nations such as France, Italy, and England can help rid the world of dictators. In order to be convincing, such arguments depend on social amnesia. The execution of Saddam Hussein did nothing to stabilize and liberate Iraq. In fact, his supporters launched a series of bombings shortly thereafter. More importantly, however, such arguments attempt to justify a policy of “regime change” that is consistent with the Bush Administration.

This policy has nothing to do with liberation or humanitarian concerns, as is peddled to the public. It is entirely based on the cold calculations of geo-political politics guided by the interests of corporate profit and the intimidation of anyone who tries to impede these interests. In the case of Libya, it is not difficult to determine what is involved in these calculations.

Libya is also a major exporter of oil, pumping out 1.6 million barrels of oil a day before the civil war. When Qaddafi came to power, he nationalized much of the state’s economy, creating an obstacle for unfettered corporate plunder. It is primarily for this reason that Qaddafi was branded a pariah by western powers. Over the last ten years Qaddafi managed to shed this label, particularly when he began to implement neo-liberal policies, opening up Libya to multinational corporations.

However, this move led to falling living standards and growing inequality which, in turn, greatly contributed to the discontent that sparked the uprising against Qaddafi. This uprising was part of the Arab Spring that has overturned U.S. friendly regimes in Tunisia and Egypt and posed a potential threat to European and U.S. business arrangements in the region. It was necessary for these powers to find a foothold in diverting the Arab Spring away from challenging these profitable relations. Seeing that Qaddafi was unable to control the internal situation in Libya, the U.S. and some NATO member states orchestrated military incursions to secure their own interests and to make sure to remind those rebel Libyans who was really in charge.

NATO was quick to recognize the self-proclaimed National Transitional Council (NTC) as the new leadership of Libya. Many of the grassroots groups involved in the uprising against Qaddafi regard the NTC with justified suspicion. It is largely composed of former officials in Qaddafi’s regime and others who want to accelerate the same economic policies Qaddafi was pursuing. While these policies promise greater profits for multinational corporations, this enrichment will come at the cost of working peoples’ living standards. Because of this continuing conflict, nothing is settled in Libya. President Obama’s policy has not achieved democracy and liberation, only a different means of achieving the same aims of making bigger corporate profits through grinding exploitation, as was the aim of the Bush Administration.

The attitude of the Obama administration towards events in Libya could not have been more chillingly revealed than in a recent CBS interview with Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton. In it she says of Qaddafi’s murder with unguarded sadistic laughter, “We came, we saw, he died.” This is a threatening attitude to send out to the world; run afoul with U.S. interests and you may face the same fate as Qaddafi. It goes without saying that such murderous arrogance could also be applied to popular elected leaders who defy U.S. dictates, such as President Chavez in Venezuela and President Morales in Bolivia.

Peace and Occupy Movement

President Obama’s foreign policy does not represent a fundamental shift away from the Bush Administration. At best it is a tactical temporary maneuver based on conjunctional considerations.

If a fundamental change is to be made regarding a less militaristic foreign policy, the powers behind the presidency will have to be confronted. Wars abroad, though used to divert the people in the U.S. from their real enemies, are also an extension of the war on workers at home. They are the byproduct of a system geared to enrich a tiny elite at the expense of those whose collective labor produces all wealth.

This is why the Occupy Movement and its re-energizing of the unions presents such a potential force for ending the wars and mobilizing working people to defend themselves against corporate attack. By placing the interests of all working people and their allies in direct opposition to Wall Street, this emerging movement is challenging the forces that profit from war and is establishing the basis for genuine international solidarity.

Reckless Endangerment: Totally Corrupt America

by Dr. Paul Craig Roberts

Last March I reviewed Matt Taibbi’s important book Griftopia, an entertaining account of the through-going financial fraud that gave us the financial crisis. http://www.vdare.com/print/13156 Taibbi shows that the US “superpower” can match any third world backwater in the magnitude of greed and fraud that is endemic in business and government. I would not be surprised if Taibbi’s book motivated the more aware participants of Occupy Wall Street.

Taibbi’s Griftopia was published last year. This year Henry Holt publishers have provided us with Gretchen Morgenson and Joshur Rosner’s Reckless Endangerment.

Morgenson and Rosner tell the story again, but with less drama and provocation. Possibly, it might be more acceptable to those gullible Americans who wrap themselves in the flag and refuse to believe that their country could ever knowingly do anything that is wrong.

I am not suggesting that Morgenson and Rosner pull their punches. To the contrary, the authors deliver enough knockouts to be contenders with Taibbi as world champions in exposing the reckless fraud that the US financial sector and its regulators now epitomize.

The financial crisis, which is very much still with us, did not result from accident or miscalculation; neither did it result because of a flaw in Alan Greenspan’s theory, as he told Congress when a feeble effort was made to hold him accountable. It was the intentional result of people motivated by short-term profits who wanted to get theirs and get out.

As Reckless Endangerment shows, fraud characterized every stage of the process from the fraudulent borrower incomes and credit scores that mortgage issuers gave to unqualified buyers, through the securitization of the mortgages and their triple-A investment grade ratings by the rating agencies (Standard & Poor’s especially, but also Moody’s and Fitch) to the investment banks that sold what the banks knew was junk to investors around the world as investment grade securities. Indeed, Goldman Sachs was simultaneously betting against the mortgage derivatives that it was selling to clients.

Investment banks, such as Goldman Sachs, which once considered it a matter of honor to represent the interests of customers, took advantage of the trust that had been built up in the past to commit fraud against customers in order to advance the banks’ short-term profits and the out-sized multi-million dollar managerial bonuses that these fraudulent profits produced.

Morgenson and Rosner provide a number of unique accounts of how those benefitting from fraud were able to defeat laws that were passed that would have held them to account. For example, the state of Georgia passed perfect legislation that held predatory lending to account. William J. Brennan Jr. and Georgia Governor Roy E. Barnes got the Georgia Fair Lending Act through the state legislature. It was a model for other states. As the federal regulators had thrown in the towel, the state laws would have prevent the worst part of the financial crisis, it not prevented the crisis altogether.

The Georgia law only lasted a few months, because the rating agencies saw that their enormous profits from issuing fraudulent investment grade ratings were threatened by the law. The corrupt rating agencies mischaracterized the consumer protection act as a jihad by regulators. Standard & Poor’s declared that it would no longer allow Georgia mortgages to be placed in mortgage securities that it rated.

In other words, Georgia mortgages could no longer be securitized. This announcement banned Georgia mortgage lenders from securitization. Thus, the law was overturned, and fraud ran wild.

These kind of mafia strong-armed tactics in order to protect at all costs the short-term mega-bonuses that drove the totally fraudulent system have never been held accountable or punished. Totally innocent people are held indefinitely and tortured by the US government for no other reason than to convince the gullible public that they are endangered by terrorists, but those who wiped out the home ownership and retirement pensions of millions of Americans now hold high and honorable positions on corporate boards and US regulatory agencies.

Federal regulatory agencies totally failed. Brooksley Born tried to use her statutory authority to regulate over-the-counter derivatives, but she was blocked by the Federal Reserve chairman, the US Treasure secretary, and the SEC chairman and forced to resign. As University of Chicago Nobel economist George Stigler predicted, regulatory agencies are captured by those who are intended to be regulated. This was the case. Regulators turned a blind eye to obvious criminal fraud, and were rewarded with lucrative positions in the financial community. The same for the US senators and representatives who repealed Glass-Steagal and other financial regulations.

For example, former US senator Phil Gramm who spearheaded the repeal of the Glass-Steagall Act, which separated commercial from investment banking, the repeal of which set up the financial crisis, was rewarded by being made vice chairman of the mega-bank UBS, a Swiss global financial services company.

What Taibbi, Morgenson and Rosner make clear is that while monster criminals continue to collect their multi-million dollar annual incomes, depressed single mothers, deserted by the men who fathered their child, are sent to prison for having small quantities of illegal drugs to boost their depressed spirits, and their children are put out to adoption.

This is “justice” in America where there is “freedom and democracy.”

Back quite a few years ago when the American people were suffering under a despot called King George III they drew up a list of his offenses and told him they were not going to allow his government by fiat to be “destructive” any longer.

In the Declaration of Independence, they cited such problems as his refusal to allow beneficial and necessary laws, his obstruction of justice by manipulating the judiciary, his erection of “a multitude of new offices,” his disruption of trade and his preventing the laws adopted by local legislatures from addressing problems.

The Revolutionary War resulted.

Now, the Veteran Defenders of America, a group that involves such luminaries as Maj. Gen. Paul E. Vallely, is pointing out a similar list of offenses.

Only this document, “A Declaration to Restore the Constitutional Republic,” is addressed to the people.

A special report with evidence galore: “The Case for Impeachment: Why Barack Hussein Obama Should be Impeached to Save America” just $4.95!

It in, officials with Veteran Defenders note that the America people now have a strategic leader, President Obama, who “has questionable allegiance” and has “wreaked economic tyranny on the American people.” He also destroyed accepted administrative processes with 32 czars, doubled the national debt in one year, sided with Mexico against the American people, is demanding new taxes, subverted the nation’s immigration laws, forcibly took control of private economic interests, is targeting charities and churches for penalties and has advocated for a mosque “bankrolled by terrorist sympathizers” while refusing to defend the nation’s own laws.

This time, however, they just want his resignation, and those of his friends.

“This is not a call to overthrow our entire institutions of government, or subvert the Law of the Land, but rather to restore those institutions to their honorable constitutionally forms,” says the new declaration.

(Story continues below)

“As such, and under their oaths to the Constitution and the people whom they are sworn to protect and defend against all enemies, foreign and domestic, it is incumbent upon every citizen, veteran, soldier, officer and agent to use the tools of the people to protect the people and return our government to a Constitutional Republic of, by and for the people.”

It continues, “May the Creator, who endowed each of us with certain unalienable rights, among them the right to Life, Liberty and the individual Pursuit of Happiness free from government tyranny, bless this mission of, by and for the people of the United States, and may the Lord let freedom ring in America, once again.

“We demand an end to government corruption, an end to despotic leadership in D.C., an end to the current assault on all decent and honest American taxpayers, businesses and honorable public servants of the people. We demand the peaceful return of the people’s government, and we will remain resolute in the defense of the Constitution and the United States of America until the people can once again, feel secure in their nation and government.”

Veterans Defenders was launched by Richard Van Waes, who said America’s freedoms “are in jeopardy.” It is part of the Patriots Union.

The Veteran Defenders organization doesn’t disclose the number of its members, but a spokesman confirmed that members of the group overwhelmingly are in strong support of the statement, and other veterans organizations are expressing interest.

He said it is time that veterans remember they all can contribute in some way to preserving and restoring the nation. His group is intended to give “veterans the opportunity to continue fulfilling their oath to defend America.”

To that end, they must know about threats, including that from radical Islam, must move proactively against those threats and interact with local law enforcement to respond.

Among its advisers is Vallely, who retired in 1991 from the Army as Deputy Commander General, Pacific, following a career launched in 1961 with his graduation from West Point. He served in Vietnam, Europe, the Pacific Rim and others.

“An undisclosed number of American veterans and former service members have come together to prepare and present this Call-to-Action on behalf of the U.S. Constitution, the Republic, the Rule of Law and equal justice for all freedom loving citizens of the U.S.A.,” the document explains

Specifically, the summons for peaceful disobedience should include:

We CALL upon every member of federal, state and local government, legislative, judicial, law enforcement and military, who have taken an oath to protect and defend the Constitutional Republic from all enemies, foreign and domestic, to act upon those oaths for the stated purpose of restoring the Constitutional Republic.

We CALL upon ALL veterans and veteran organizations in America, who still believe in their oath to protect and defend, to unite with us at once – in this Declaration to Restore the Constitutional Republic.

We CALL for ALL citizens who still desire freedom and liberty, to stand with us in peaceful protest, and carry our demands to right the wrongs against our nation in the preservation of freedom, liberty, justice and the rule of law.

Vallely has described the confrontation as “a battle that will decide our fate as a nation.”

“During the past three years, the current administration has committed the most egregious offenses against the people, the states and the Constitution, since the founding of our country and today, they operate as a virtual dictatorship, against the governed, beyond the scope and authority the people granted them in the Constitution and at odds with the will of the vast majority of American citizens,” the call states. “The actions of the Obama administration in total, rise to the level of treason against the United States and its people.”

It alleges violations of U.S. Constitution and each and every part of the Bill of Rights.

“At this late date, the individually itemized list of abuses and usurpations would require an encyclopedia of unconstitutional offenses to the Republic and there is no evidence to suggest that there remains even one legitimate honest courtroom in the country to which all evidence could be presented,” the veterans said.

However, it is the players, not the rules, that are in violation, the group said.

“The constitutional representative republic must be restored, no matter the means or the cost. It is on this foundation that we morally and rightfully call for all good people to rise up, stand together, move to restore the constitutional republic, and hold those who have and would stand against the people, fully accountable.”

The new declaration explains its goals are “the immediate and unconditional orderly resignation of Barack Hussein Obama II” and well as “Joseph R. Biden.”

“In addition to the known fact that the Obama/Biden ticket was advanced by way of fraudulent representations concerning the constitutional eligibility of Barack Hussein Obama II, under Article II requirements for the office of president, the Obama/Biden has committed countless crimes against the U.S. Constitution, our Republican form of government and the American people while in control of the executive branch.

“They are not able to do this alone, but with the help and cover of many anti-American players, who have also acted at odds with their oaths to protect and defend the Constitution, our Republic and the people of the United States. As a result, these players must be removed from office and held accountable for their actions as well.”

Those listed include the president’s staff and czars, cabinet, and appointees, such as Supreme Court justices Elena Kagan and Sonia Sotomayor.

And if they don’t go quietly?

“That in the event that these individuals refuse to immediately resign in an orderly fashion designed to serve the best interests of the United States, we demand that the 66 members of the people’s House who voted against the recent raising of the nation’s debt ceiling, to immediately begin impeachment proceedings against every member of the Obama administration.”

All of Obama’s plans and strategies should be suspended, and temps, literally “new temporary executive branch members,” should be appointed to act until elections can be held, the plan demands.

Further, the states should act on their own, cutting themselves off from Washington.

“Nothing less than complete compliance with each of these demands is acceptable to the people of the United States. These demands have been published for public support and delivered to all members of Congress.”

Services members, and “every patriotic citizen,” are being asked to pressure law enforcement, judicial, intelligence and military agencies whose members have sworn to protect and defend the Constitution to do just that.

Then on the coming Veterans Day, Nov. 11, a “unified march” should be held in Washington.

But be warned, the Veteran Defenders said, “In the event that the current administration or its thug supporters attempt to use government or civilian force and violence to silence the people, as in the cases of Syria, Libya, Yemen, China’s Tiananmen Square, the Bonus Army of 1932 in the United States, or the UK presently wrestling with black and Muslim violence, the people must be prepared to defend themselves against such tyrannical tactics. We cannot expect that the federal government will act in the best interest of American veterans or citizens.”

Among the dozens of specific violations that Veteran Defenders identified:

Obama is a national security threat since he definitely has questionable allegiance to the United States, not to mention his refusal to complete and release full, frank and truthful answers as to who he is. Obama has demonstrated a blatant disregard for the public safety and security.

Obama and his handlers released an obvious forged birth certificate after release at least two fraudulent COLBs (Certifications of Live Birth). Obama is also using numerous stolen Social Security numbers.

Obama and his incompetent advisors have wreaked economic tyranny on the American people, all the while calling for the rest of us to endure economic sacrifice.

Obama has destroyed accepted administrative process by creating 32 czars who only report to him, bypassing the Congress.

In one year, Obama and his minions doubled our national debt, which took 200 years to accumulate.

Obama and his Justice Department sided with a foreign government (Mexico) when they sued the state of Arizona in order to force the continuation of illegal immigration.

Obama passed “Dream Act” by executive order which aids illegal aliens through “prosecutorial discretion” all to garner votes for his election.

Obama and the cabal’s National Security Strategy released in May, allows for the targeted assassination of U.S. citizens including “homegrown terrorists” without due process.

Obama dhimmitude given Ramadan and Iftar dinners in the White House, while he cancels the National Day of Prayer without one word of objection from the Congress.

Obama has disgraced the United States by bowing to foreign potentates, while at the same time snubbed our longtime allies, Great Britain and Israel. Obama and his friends have deliberately fostered hate against the Jews and Israel by promoting a Palestinian state.

The State Department used $23 million in taxpayer money to transform Kenya into a constitutionally communist country where freedom of speech is limited and property rights are based on social justice.

Obama attempts to run this country with executive orders.

Historic and unprecedented move by Obama’s cabal to indoctrinate our children in socialist, humanist garbage, sent a video to all schools, and naturally this scheme was promoted by the NEA, with the children taking a pledge, “…to be a servant to our president and to all mankind,” and then they chant over and over “together we can.”

In a recent commentary on WND, Vallely wasted no words, “President Obama, his appointees and czars must be replaced immediately.”

“This is the current battle that we constitutionalists, face and we must be aggressive in our efforts. We must adhere to our Constitution. Obama will continue to bypass Congress and the people in his progressive agenda because that is who he is and that is what he believes he has the power to do. Congress, you must stand tall for the American people and enjoin the Supreme Court to halt executive-branch violations of the law and our Constitution.

“Incompetence, treason, corruption and dishonesty of officials now come into play as these relate to our national security and economy, and are the rationale for demanding resignations and a change of government,” he said.

Likewise, former Congressman Tom Tancredo, R-Colo., wrote in a WND column: “The number of the president’s actions that arguably qualify as impeachable offenses is staggering. The question before the country is what to do about it.

“It is time for the House of Representatives to take its constitutional responsibility seriously and launch an impeachment investigation. The investigative committee should hold hearings, collect and weigh the evidence, and then present its findings to the Congress and the nation. ”

He cited as individual violations on which Obama, if found guilty, should be removed.

The first statement from a member of Congress on the issue of impeachment came from U.S. Rep. Trent Franks, R-Ariz., who responded to this question from Think Progress: “I know Newt Gingrich has came out (sic) and said if they don’t reverse course [regarding trials for terror suspects] here, we ought to be talking about possibly impeaching either Attorney General [Eric] Holder or even President Obama to try to get them to reverse course. Do you think that is something you would support?”

Franks replied: “If it could gain the collective support, absolutely. I called for Eric Holder to repudiate the policy to try terrorists within our civil courts, or resign. So it just seems like that they have an uncanny ability to get it wrong on almost all fronts.”

WND also has reported that Jonathan Chait at The New Republic, before the 2010 election, predicted that the House would impeach Obama with a majority in the House, but he wouldn’t be removed from office because that would demand 67 votes in the Senate.

“Hear me now and believe me later. … They won’t do it right away. And they won’t succeed in removing Obama. (You need 67 Senate votes.) But if Obama wins a second term, the House will vote to impeach him before he leaves office,” Chait wrote.

In his explanation of why he believed an impeachment could be forthcoming, Chait says the reason itself won’t matter.

“Wait, you say. What will they impeach him over? You can always find something. Mini-scandals break out regularly in Washington. Last spring, the political press erupted in a frenzy over the news that the White House had floated a potential job to prospective Senate candidate Joe Sestak. On a scale of one to 100, with one representing presidential jaywalking and 100 representing Watergate, the Sestak job offer probably rated about a 1.5. Yet it was enough that GOP Representative Darrell Issa called the incident an impeachable offense,” Chait wrote.

WND also reported when Maj. Gen. Jerry Curry, who served in Vietnam and commanded the U.S. Army Test and Evaluation Command at Aberdeen Proving Ground during his long military career, said Congress should simply hand Obama an ultimatum.

“Action should be taken by the Senate and should be taken by the House,” he said. “They should serve notice on him and say, ‘Mr. President, we love you but we want to tell you something. You’re under a cloud of suspicion. We can’t continue running this country with you in charge under this cloud. Now either you clear it up or you resign from office.’”

He was answering questions on Stan Solomon’s “Talk to Solomon” show:

Peter Ferrara, on the American Spectator website, also has predicted Obama’s resignation.

“I am now ready to predict that President Obama will not even make it [to 2012],” he wrote. “I predict that he will resign in discredited disgrace before the fall of 2012,” Ferrera said.

Times columnist Jeffrey T. Kuhner, who also is president of the Edmund Burke Institute, wrote, “President Obama has engaged in numerous high crimes and misdemeanors. The Democratic majority in Congress is in peril as Americans reject his agenda. Yet more must be done: Mr. Obama should be impeached.”

Kuhner continued, “He is slowly – piece by painful piece – erecting a socialist dictatorship. We are not there – yet. But he is putting America on that dangerous path. He is undermining our constitutional system of checks and balances; subverting democratic procedures and the rule of law; presiding over a corrupt, gangster regime; and assaulting the very pillars of traditional capitalism. Like Venezuela’s leftist strongman, Hugo Chavez, Mr. Obama is bent on imposing a revolution from above – one that is polarizing America along racial, political and ideological lines. Mr. Obama is the most divisive president since Richard Nixon. His policies are balkanizing the country. It’s time for him to go.”

Floyd and Mary Beth Brown, in a WND column, discussed the ImpeachObamaCampaign.com they launched.

And at the Taking America Back 2010 conference in Miami in September, Floyd Brown expanded on the idea.

Brown, president of the Western Center for Journalism, said, “The Obama presidency is a disease. … Article 2, Section 4 (the impeachment clause of the Constitution) is the cure. And it’s Obama’s hatred of America that makes it absolutely imperative that we take action now.

“Barack Hussein Obama is not some do-gooder that has had his plans go astray,” Brown added. “He is not a person of good will just trying his best to make America go the right direction. He is not. Barack Hussein Obama is a liar that absolutely knows what he’s doing to the United States of America. He has a plan. He has an agenda. This man knows exactly where he’s taking us.

“Barack Obama is a very dangerous man,” said Brown. “Over the last two years, we have been watching the slow progression of what I call a bloodless coup.”

It is Good to See Actor Vince Vaughn to Endorse Ron Paul. Hollywood Does Have A Few Good Men.

When I would see Hollywood in the past endorsing the people who stand against the values defining what makes this country great. I would stay away from the movies for a long time because I was so turned off by some of the actors. Well I never liked Barbara Streisand, Jimmy Buffet and not too crazy about Bruce Springsteen. I just wish they shut up and sing. On the other hand they do have a right to freedom of speech to endorse any leftist politicians they want. They have to right to be idiots and the people who buy their albums have a right to believe them too. Unless they are Ted Nugent standing up for the second amendment, then freedom of speech does not apply to him when he talks about guns according the the liberals.

I liked actor Vince Vaughn in the movie remake Starskey and Hutch and the Wedding Crashers. It is better it is Vince and not Charlie Sheen. We can start to see many actors endorsing Ron Paul. I would like to see Bruce Willis who said the people who killed JFK are still in power today. it would be great to see him come out publicly for this man. I would like to see Aston Kutcher who is preparing for the collapse of society come forward too as a last resort to avert it. Even actress Mila Kunis who is from the Ukraine. She is very aware of what life was like under the Soviet system. Even seeing Mat Damon who has become very disillusioned with Obama breaking his promises come out and endorse this Texas congressman would be a positive for us.

We have seen the old icons of the past like Tom Hanks and Robin Williams come forward endorsing Bill Clinton. I think the old guard is becoming irrelevant and many younger actors are coming out for liberty and freedom. They understand what is coming down the pike. We can see as this country plunges further into the darkness of tyranny and the economic depression. We will see many entertainers coming out in favor of liberty ignoring the politics of old Hollywood. It is very good to see the actor Vince Vaughn come out to endorse my Congressmen who represents me in the 14th district. This should inspire more actors in Hollywood to think for themselves and not be afraid what the old Hollywood icons think. Hollywood will never be the same thanks to actors like Vince Vaughn starting a trend that can be called the Hollywood Revolution because the message of Ron Paul. when the younger actors embrace liberty and ignore the old liberal out of touch icons. The impact can have be change Hollywood forever. Do you agree?

August 21, 2011

Print Version

Source: Danny Schechter

Already the projections are in—not for who is going to win the election in 2012—but for how much it is likely to cost.

Public Radio International concludes: “Campaign spending in the 2012 US election could reach $6 or 7 billion dollars as outside groups pay for electoral influence.”

Here we are in the middle of a deep recession that’s getting deeper by the day, with austerity the unofficial slogan du jour while Republican scheme up new ways to trim, cut and decimate government spending, and parties are spending billions on political horse races.

They decry government spending but they don’t talk much about their own spending, do they?

And neither do the Democrats who are also backing an orgy of spending cuts if only to show their opponents how “responsible” they are.

As both parties slash spending that benefits people, they are in a manic overdrive effort to raise more for themselves and their campaigns.

PRI’s Here and Now program reported, “In 2008, Barack Obama raised some $778 million for his presidential bid. The total cost of the national election, including Presidential and Congressional, was about $5.3 billion. Since then, court decisions like Citizens United have made spending by outside groups easier.

“In 2012,” Dave Levinthal, director of the Center for Responsive Politics told PRI’s Here and now, “you’re easily looking at 6, maybe even 7 billion dollars nationwide.”

The Center for Responsive Politics has already reported that Wall Street “bundlers” have generated more money for the Obama campaign than they did four years ago even as anger with the financial behemoths grows in the base of the Democratic Party,

Spending by outside groups was about 4 times higher in 2010 than it was in 2006. Much of that can be attributed to new, looser campaign laws.

Levinthal explains that “the laws changed in a way that effectively allowed these outside groups to raise and spend unlimited sums of money to say whatever they want, to do it whenever they wanted to, and they could do it in as strong a term as they wanted to.”

These developments get scant media attention for one good reason: the media is a prime beneficiary of a political system dominated by big money.

Much of these billions are raised for political advertising. The networks get it. No wonder, they are out to sell more than tell.

Listen to the editor of Cable Fax, an industry publication that is planning a Webinar to help TV executives “monetize” (i.e., make more money from) the 2012 elections and its vast “political spend.”

Here’s editor Amy Maclean pitching her media readers in high places:

“The 2012 elections will be here before you know it, so now is the perfect time to start planning your strategy and make sure to maximize your share of the political ad spend. Join usTuesday, August 30 for our CableFAX Webinar: Monetize Election 2012: Advanced Political Advertising. You’ll get sound advice and practical tips to make the most of interactivity and multiplatform campaigns.

“While cable’s total of campaign ad dollars continues to climb to record levels, (emphasis mine) the next question is how to make that two-way plan more attractive to campaigns through the use of Video On Demand (VOD,) RFIs, online and other interactive elements.

“Last year, California Republican gubernatorial candidate Meg Whitman helped put RFI (Request for Information) political spots on the map, using the technology to allow viewers to request things such as bumper stickers and volunteer info. The innovation continues, with 2012 expected to really help the industry further distinguish itself with its advanced political advertising offerings.

“Additionally, the recent Citizens United Supreme Court case opened the way for corporations and unions to drop major coin to back candidates and issues.”

Cable Fax wants its readers to know how best to “navigate the race in November and drive additional advertising revenues,” i.e. (“drop coin” in their pockets.)

The irony is that while most TV networks insist they are bi-partisan and don’t flack for any candidates, their coverage is, in effect, flacking for themselves — to bolster revenues by siphoning off as many political donations that they can slip and slide into their own coffers.

This corporate self-interest is rarely explained or even admitted but in a tough advertising market—with the economy in collapse mode—politics primes the media pump.

Campaigns are windfalls for broadcasters. The networks that oppose stimulus programs for workers with so many snarky stories, don’t oppose this stimulus for themselves.

Promoting elections has become an industry of its own and TV networks are at the center of it. They are not devoting much time to promoting voter registration or voter education. They don’t provided many free ads and in fact often refuse to run issue-oriented ads bought by activists.

This agenda is wrapped up in the mantle of enabling democracy but it is of course much more than that. Most of the coverage is about the personality parade and horse race, not the issues. It focuses on canddiates more than political organizing. There seems to be little concern with new measures like voter ID cards designed to suppress the vote, or electoral fraud designed to steal it.

The fact is that the political circus is good for business, not democracy. The Providence Phoenix reports, “Political coverage on television is diminishing, and revenue from political advertising is soaring. Critics say free airtime for candidates could help solve the problem:

Writes Ian Donnis, “The Alliance for Better Campaigns (ABC), a Washington, DC-based nonpartisan group that advocates for political campaigns that inform voters and increase their participation in the political process, is pushing a proposal that would force broadcasters to offer free air time to political candidates before elections — in addition to increasing political coverage overall. Proponents say the idea is the next frontier in campaign-finance reform.

These proposals have been around for years, endorsed by former Presidents and the late Walter Cronkite, but they have gone nowhere. Why? Why should the networks give away air time when they are paid so handsomely for it?

“Nearly every democracy in the world has some kind of mandate for free television time during campaigns. Broadcasters can afford it: profit margins of 30 percent, 40 percent, and even 50 percent are common in broadcasting, according to Paul Taylor, the former Washington Post reporter who serves as president of the Alliance for Better Campaigns. And, since the Communications Act of 1934 was enacted, broadcasters’ free and exclusive use of the airwaves has also been conditioned on their agreement to function as public trustees.”

Ha!

It’s hard not to conclude that their inaction, and unwillingness to reform their own practices, is caused by network’s own bottom-line greed— always justified in the name of preserving the first amendment, of course.

The truth is our valiant TV networks are undermining democracy, not bolstering it. These campaigns create jobs for their own pollsters, pundits and partisans. This spectacle does not serve a public deeply disenchanted with sleaze in suits and political corruption,

Instead “monetized election coverage” is a fixture, a part of the problem. The New York Times reports in detail how Rick Perry’s high net worth donors benefited financially when state money went, tit for tat, into their businesses.

The watchdogs have become lapdogs when it comes to monitoring and disclosing their own agendas and profits.

Who will watch the watchers?

What spineless bastards!

The Daily Paul
August, 16 2011

CNN Center
Atlanta Georgia

We here at the CNN would like to apologize to many of our viewers. We are profoundly sorry for including Ron Paul’s name in our coverage of the Iowa Ames straw poll. Our headline “Bachmann wins Iowa straw poll narrowly besting Ron Paul” stirred very negative emotions caused painful headaches and extreme discomfort among many Americans.

Here is for example an email from our viewer working for the weapons making arm of Lockheed Martin:

“Dear CNN I could not sleep last night after seeing the positive coverage that you gave to Ron Paul. If he ever becomes president I am certain to lose not just my job but my wife as well. I can’t see myself working at McDonald’s supporting my family”

Another email:

“I am a contractor working in Afghanistan making 300K a year and if this guy this doctor Ron Paul becomes president my dream life will be over.

I plead with you to avoid covering his campaign and if you really have to mention his name please add negative things like “he has no chance to win” and “bottom of the pack” also if you have to show him photoshop the crowds out so that people can only see one or two supporters around him that would really help”

Another letter:

“I am a banker here on Wall Street and I am terrified with this Ron Paul I will no longer be able to obtain bailout money my family depends on.

We are here as bread and butter makers of America we need to be supported.
Ron Paul as president will put us on the street among the New York homeless population — please stop covering Ron Paul enough is enough!”

We at the CNN take seriously the wishes of our viewers.

Starting today anyone working here who attempts to give Ron Paul positive coverage will receive a pink slip on the spot.

We hope our actions not just words will prove to our viewers how deeply we dedicate ourselves to the fair non-biased coverage of political process in our country.

By John Waters

In the last 90 days three women, who resembled the women in the following pictures, came onto me as if I was Brad Pitt.

The oldest woman in the picture is 35. I am a medium height almost medium build man, who is almost 68 years of age.

Any resemblance to real persons, living or dead, is purely coincidental. [1]

My standard pick-up line : “I am clearly older than you but I still think I am in my twenties.” The woman above on the right replied, “I am in my twenties, and you are adorable. When are you taking me to dinner?”

The first time this happened I was convinced, as were my friends, that this was a Sugar Daddy attraction (although there was no way when we met they could know my net worth).

I dated all three women in an attempt to find out if they wanted a Sugar Daddy. None of them asked for money. On one occasion I actually offered financial assistance before I thought she was going to ask. She looked puzzled and responded, “Why would I want you to pay for me?”

Confounded, I did some research and here is what I think is happening.

We live in a patriarchal social structure. The traditional gender roles “man hunts — woman stays at home” was undermined by the Federal Reserve and the Industrial Revolution at the beginning of the 20th century. [2]

Men now hunted for bargains while the women cooked “cheap” food made from monocultures. [4]

Until October 2008 the Federal Reserve created money out of thin air to take care of everyone in a vast and bloated welfare bureaucracy that made millions of us perpetual wards of a patriarchal state. [3]

The alpha Federal Reserve male (Father Fed) was now directly and indirectly taking care of every man, woman and child. The Federal Reserve(s) are (four) Dummies

Right after Father Fed got control of the money supply:

“They began to buy government securities at the rate of ten million dollars a week for 10 weeks, and created one hundred million dollars in new (checkbook) currency, which alleviated the critical famine of money and credit, and the factories started hiring people again” Eustice Mullins.

The factories started hiring Robert Young (Father Knows Best) so he could drive to work in his muscle car, build airplanes, ships, cars, RVs, SUVs, office buildings, freeways and shopping malls from the raw materials, commodities, iron ore, bauxite, petroleum and copper that Father Fed owned or controlled in 1910. [Appendix A]

Men continued to act and display the attitudes of the dominant male, but acting the dominant male isn’t the same as being one. Bringing home a big screen TV in a Monster Truck isn’t fooling anyone into thinking modern man has male power. [5]

The feminist movement era was the straw that broke the male ego’s back.

A man could no longer cling to the illusion that he was superior to a woman. An epidemic of divorce, domestic violence, infidelity, alcoholism and drug abuse followed the loss of his self-esteem and damage to his ego.

The October 2008 Collapse

October 2008, the greatest calamity the world has ever known marked the last day Father Fed would take care of us. The Bank of the Fed is Closed…Forever

35 Million Americans on Food Stamps: 12 Percent of U.S. Population on Food Stamps Highest Since Records Kept in 1969, and that’s before the Obama administration announced a planned three-year budget freeze on government discretionary spending. (My Budget 360)

18 Million empty houses in the United States and 39 million Americans who are no longer working or looking for work, and that’s before Federal Reserve finishes rewriting the rules of American “capitalism” as US Housing, the Automobile Industry and the American Dream are dismantled. (The 31-Year-Old in Charge of Dismantling G.M., David E. Sanger)

In 2010 there were over 150 million Americans who feel stress over the prospect of joblessness, joylessness and homelessness. Over 60 percent of Americans now live paycheck to paycheck.” (The Economic Elite vs. People of the USA, David DeGraw) [6]

That would be a lot of younger women in their child rearing years worrying about living “paycheck to paycheck” because Father Fed is no longer giving up their real wealth, to take care of them.

Younger women, pre-feminist goddesses, want to connect with male power: a man who can project that he can “take care of her and her offspring.” That handsome stud at the nightclub spending his money and partying all night is no longer, if it ever really was, a turn on. [7]

“Males are visual when it comes to age, but females aren’t interested in a man’s age (especially if they already have children) so much because males remain virile well into the later part of their lifespan.” [8]

An older man can be the image financial stability. Add in three days a week at the gym, a high self-esteem and a Hugo Boss wardrobe; a man can then project the subtlest of gestures, actions and attitudes of a dominant male who can take care of her.

No, this isn’t a Sugar Daddy thing. A Sugar Daddy relationship is one where the woman pretends to be turned on in exchange for being taken care of. In this case the woman is turned on because she is being taken care of.

“Women possess a deeply rooted pre-intellectual *instinct* which compels them to submit themselves for copulation in the presence of what they sense to be a Dominant Male [thanks to Father Fed women have concealed this instinct with the workings of their more rational mind].

However, if a woman consents to have sex with a man who has set off these automatic desires in her, she stands to enter into the hottest, most fulfilling sensual experience that it is possible for her to have.” [7]

[1] Netiquette required I get the pictures from Google images.

[2] Patriarchy literally means “rule of fathers”, from (patriarkhes), “father” or “chief of a race, patriarch”. Gender Roles for men and women result from Patriarchy, a social system in which the role of the male as the primary authority figure is central to social organization, and where fathers hold authority over women, children, and property. It implies the institutions of male rule and privilege, and is dependent on female subordination. Historically, patriarchy has manifested itself in the social, legal, political, and economic organization of a range of different cultures. Patriarchy also has a strong influence on modern civilization, although many cultures have moved towards a more egalitarian social system over the past century.

According to Robert M. Strozier, historical research has not yet found a specific “initiating event” of the origin of patriarchy. Some scholars point to about six thousand years ago (4000 BCE), when the concept of fatherhood took root, as the beginning of the spread of patriarchy.

[3] The Federal Reserve assumed the male’s role starting at the turn of the 19th century.

Capitalism was viewed as the source of exploitation and economic insecurity for “the working class,” who were now dependent for their livelihood upon the apparent whims of the “capitalist class.”

The “welfare state” was the solution to capitalism’s alleged cruelty. A vast and bloated welfare bureaucracy made millions perpetual wards of a patriarchal state while at the same time drained society of the idea that freedom meant self-responsibility. The ideal and the principle of the market economy was never fulfilled. What is called capitalism today is a distorted, twisted and deformed system of increasingly limited market relationships as well as market processes hampered and repressed by state controls and regulations. And overlaying this entire system are the ideologies of 18th-century mercantilism, 19th-century socialism, and 20th-century welfare statism.

In this perverse development and evolution of “historical capitalism,” the institutions necessary for a truly free-market economy have been either undermined or prevented from emerging. And the principles and actual meaning of a free-market economy have become increasingly misunderstood and lost. But it is the principles and the meaning of a free-market economy that must be rediscovered if liberty is to be saved and the burden of historical capitalism is to be overcome.

October 2008 marked the last day the men behind the Federal Reserve were willing take care of us. Our no limit credit care used to go shopping for useless toxic stuff was cancelled…forever. The Bank of the Fed is Closed…Forever

[6] The October meltdown, the end of the beginning of the end of our consumer society is an Environmental Dream because people living in their cars or homeless shelters don’t trash planet by going shopping.

Steven Kopits, managing director of Douglas-Westwood, notes the US oil demand in a mild recession declines about 3%.

“In the current recession, oil demand briefly dropped nearly 3 mbpd from its peak, about half of which occurred in September 2008 in the aftermath of the collapse of financial markets following the bankruptcy of the investment bank Lehman Brothers. If we allow that this will be a severe – but not catastrophic – recession, then a drop of 7%, or 1.5 mbpd of US consumption from peak to trough, is entirely possible.” Recession & Oil Demand by Steven Kopits

Steven estimates that the earth is “benefiting” from the 2008 recession at the rate of 1,500,000 barrels per day!

[7] Taken directly from Triggering Automatic Female Lust, by Mike Pilinski

Contrary to what you see every week on ’Sex and the City’, women are the complete opposite of men in that, the more *anonymous* the sexual encounter, the LESS gratifying they find it to be.

Unlike the fictional uber-slut Miranda, satisfying sex does not begin and end with the quest to find someone new to have an orgasm with. For the vast majority of women, the MORE connected they feel to their partner, the more overwhelming the total sexual experience is for them.

Just the reverse of typical male thinking, right? Men are intensely turned on by the thought of having sex with a woman for that very FIRST time, or by scoring a one-night stand with a perfect stranger, or perhaps fantasizing about being in a porno movie and having wanton sex with dozens of hot women he hardly knows. The common link between all these scenarios is that there is NO emotional bonding involved. Hell, there’s hardly even an exchange of names! For the man, the more anonymous the sex the more *exciting* the idea of the conquest.

How the two genders make use of (and even exploit) this knowledge of each other’s romantic weakness, however, is an entirely DIFFERENT story. Click here to read the rest by Mike Pilinski

Athletics are the closest thing to a male demonstrating courage, bravery and strength or Male Power.

Why Athletes Get all the Chicks On the playing field, it becomes much easier to judge genetic superiority in ways that may be more valuable to the gene pool than simple sexual attraction. “Sport may provide a context within which females can gain information about male quality to inform this choice.”

So if you want a girl like Adriana Lima, you had better be really good at something that anyone can appreciate, regardless of knowledge. Acting would be a good choice. Musician is pretty solid. And we know you can’t go wrong with sports.

Modern [consumer] society is not structured for a man to display courage, bravery or strength. If his family is threatened he calls 911because if he shoots the intruder he is likely to be arrested and sued. And forget volunteering to go to war. Today conflicts around the globe are not about protecting the homeland, but making the world safe for democracy (shopping). This explains the increase in black men and attractive white women.

[8] The October Collapse can explain the rise in May-September romances. A romantic relationship where one partner is significantly older than the other.

[From Chapter 1 of Secrets of the Federal Reserve The London Connection By Eustace Mullins]

On the night of November 22, 1910, a group of newspaper reporters stood disconsolately in the railway station at Hoboken, New Jersey. They had just watched a delegation of the nation’s leading financiers, leave the station on a secret mission.

It would be years before they discovered what that mission was, and even then they would not understand [the mission or] that the history of the United States underwent a drastic change as the financiers compiled a scientific currency system for the United States, the real birth of the present Federal Reserve System.

The Jekyll Island Club was chosen as the place to draft the plan for control of the money and credit of the people of the United States, not only because of its isolation, but also because it was the private preserve of the people who were drafting the plan.

The New York Times later noted, on May 3, 1931, in commenting on the death of George F. Baker, one of J.P. Morgan’s closest associates, that “One-sixth of the total wealth of the world was represented by the members of the Jekyll Island Club.” Membership was by inheritance only.”

Why all the secrecy? Why this thousand mile trip in a closed railway car to a remote hunting club? Ostensibly, it was to carry out a program of public service, to prepare banking reform which would be a boon to the people of the United States, which had been ordered by the National Monetary Commission. The participants were no strangers to public benefactions. Usually, their names were inscribed on brass plaques, or on the exteriors of buildings which they had donated. This was not the procedure which they followed at Jekyll Island. No brass plaque was ever erected to mark the selfless actions of those who met at their private hunt club in 1910 to improve the lot of every citizen of the United States.

In fact, no benefaction took place at Jekyll Island. The Aldrich group journeyed there in private to write the banking and currency legislation which the National Monetary Commission had been ordered to prepare in public. At stake was the future control of the money and credit of the United States. If any genuine monetary reform had been prepared and presented to Congress, it would have ended the power of the elitist one world money creators. Jekyll Island ensured that a central bank would be established in the United States which would give these bankers everything they had always wanted. [End excerpt from Chapter 1 of Secrets of the Federal Reserve]

Revisionist History suggests that benefaction did in fact take place at Jekyll Island.

The huddled masses should be thanking those scoundrels at the Federal Reserve for 75 years of banking and currency regulations: It resulted in unprecedented prosperity, but don’t forget to blame them because the American dream, according to the GEO4, a massive United Nations Report, put the planet at the unknown points of no return.”

Claims about historically significant amount of wealth

According to the New York Times obituary, “it was estimated after Mr. Rockefeller retired from business that he had accumulated close to $1,500,000,000 out of the earnings of the Standard Oil trust and out of his other investments. This was probably the greatest amount of wealth that any private citizen had ever been able to accumulate by his own efforts.”

Notwithstanding these varied aspects of his public life, Rockefeller may ultimately be remembered simply for the raw size of his wealth. In 1902, an audit showed Rockefeller was worth about $200 million—compared to the total national GDP of $101 billion then. His wealth continued to grow significantly (in line with U.S. economic growth) after as the demand for gasoline soared, eventually reaching about $900 million on the eve of WWI, including significant interests in banking, shipping, mining, railroads, and other industries. By the time of his death in 1937, Rockefeller’s remaining fortune, largely tied up in permanent family trusts, was estimated at $1.4 billion. According to some methods of wealth calculation, Rockefeller’s net worth over the last decades of his life would easily place him as the wealthiest known person in recent history. As a percentage of the United States’ GDP, no other American fortune—including Bill Gates or Sam Walton—would even come close. www.johndrockefeller.org
