I think you didn't get all the information here. The child was forced to hold or chew the soap for 10 minutes and had an allergic reaction to it. Her lips, tongue and throat swelled and she was having trouble breathing. Rather than getting help, she was given cough syrup and sent to bed. She began vomiting and was forced to clean it up before they would take her to the hospital......... don't you get it???? This could have easily killed her!!!! and they sent her to bed....... they went overboard with their punishment. They need to be punished! Does our government step in placed they don't belong, yes they do and I wish they would take a huge step back, but in this case they were right to do what they did to remove the kids from harms way. The boy friend was wrong in his excessive punishment, but the mom is wrong for not stopping him, even if she is afraid of making him mad at her.
