    Principal – Diane McEntire
    diane.mcentire@bcsemail.org

Just a little background info on the school principal – Diane McEntire.

She is a recovering basketball coach. I say recovering because she still presents with multiple withdrawal symptoms, even though she hasn’t coached for many years. Don’t ask me how she was able to get herself into a position of power in the public school system – your guess is as good as mine. It certainly wasn’t an earned or deserved position, as she doesn’t have a clue as to how to run a school, even an elementary one.

Her accomplishments: First, she was able to effectively revoke a parents right to protect their children, AND convince the county school board that she was right. How? Well, a fourth grader at her school made a hit list. Yes, a 9/10 year old child created a hit list of his peers who he wanted to kill. Most school principals would probably choose not to make this public knowledge but would however notify the parents of those students who were on the list of what had happened so that they could take whatever precautions they felt necessary to protect them from the threat presented. Right?

Well, McEntire isn’t your average school principal. She chose to cover the whole thing up to protect the child who was threatening the lives of many other innocent students. How do I know this? Well, the student she protected eventually made it on to the middle school where they weren’t quite so protective of him. When he created threats against others in that school, the parents were made aware of the earlier threats, then McEntire was exposed. Had she done the right thing in the first place, maybe he wouldn’t have gotten that far. Maybe appropriate corrective and preventive measures could have been put in place to ensure that this troubled young man didn’t create a potentially deadly threat to any other students. Thank goodness for the common sense exhibited by the middle school’s administrators.

Think about it people: as a parent, is it not your right, your responsibility to protect your children? What gives an elementary school principal the authority to revoke those rights and responsibilities? How can you protect your young children from these serious threats if they are kept hidden from you, not to mention that the person hiding them is supposed to be on the side of the parents, working WITH them to protect our children. Okay, so she didn’t want to create a school wide panic. Fine. But she should have, at least, spoke to the parents of the students who were having their lives threatened.

Ironically, McEntire is constantly going on about “Parental involvement” in the school. What she means of course, is she wants the parents involved only if it suits her own agenda. Otherwise, you can bank on being kept in the dark by her.

Next: Students from the school she was at previously were often not allowed to eat their lunch. Due to limited spacing in the cafeteria and a growing school, lunch times were often cut to as low as 15 minutes for a class. Think about that for a second – you are in a class with 20 other students, you are given 15 minutes to go single file through the lunch line, locate a seat and eat your food. For these small children, often times they were lucky if they got their trays to the table in less than 5 minutes if they were in the back of the line. Did I mention that they were also required to get up from their tables a few minutes early in order to prepare them from the next class? How many of you have a 5 year old? Can you picture him or her lining up, getting a tray and selecting their food from the given choices, sitting down , eating and then dumping their tray and getting the table cleaned and ready to go for the next class in 15 minutes? Only McEntire…..

Then: Her teachers! Some of the teachers who work under her are the worst the county has to offer, if not the state. Okay, that really isn’t fair. But I know it applies to at least one of the teachers. She is such a horrid teacher, she has to follow McEntire wherever she goes in order to have job security. This teacher yells at 6 year olds, telling them to “Shut-up” gets fired from after school sporting event coaching, takes restraining orders out against 8 month pregnant women who simply ask to speak to her regarding her treatment of impressionable little girls. This teacher goes out of her way to make the poor first graders fell unworthy, lower their self esteem, and make them miserable. I guess she never learnt that you get respect by first giving it. Yep, that applies to students as well. This teacher dresses very inappropriately, is disrespectful and sets a very bad example for her students.

She also reportedly does many academic projects for her daughter to pass of as her own and sabotages others students in order for her daughter to succeed with her mothers work. She has supposedly called at least one parent at home, screaming and yelling at her, with the defense and blessings of McEntire. I have been unable to contact the mother this happened to, so I can’t verify the exact information – but I can tell you this: from what I know of this teacher, from my own personal experiences with her, I have no doubt or reservations in believing it. I also have no doubts that when McEntire retires, this teacher will find herself unemployed. It will be a great day indeed, when this finally occurs.

Look, I could go on and on, there are so many things I could tell you about this principal, but I really don’t feel like wasting more of my time on her. Her day will come, and I just hope I have a front row seat when it does. The above things I mentioned are bad enough, but when she allows her teachers to force students to put on a skit like the one praising Obama, it is time for change – absolutely! Change the principle at Sand Hill – Venable school! They claim it was a small part of a program honoring many from our country’s history and was not politically motivated. Pardon me? Using campaign slogans from Obama such as “change, hope, and the all telling ‘yes we can,” has nothing to do with history, at least not yet. In the coming years, if he shows he has effectively implemented Change, THEN and only then does it belong in a skit honoring those who have historically improved our country. So far, he hasn’t done much to warrant such bowing and groveling at his feet.

Go back to the beginning of this post – click on the links and tell McEntire exactly what you think of her.

Unfortunately, more people will not speak out against this McEntire and this school because this is a liberal school with poor test grades.

None of the statements that have been posted are factual about Ms. McEntire! My question is why did the people so concerned about this PTO program speak up for the rights of these children they felt were being mistreated at her previous school. Heaven needs to spend a little more time getting the facts straight before posting such ridiculous accusations!! Secondly, Heidi check out the test scores from last year!!

First off I just found this post by accident and I’m glad I did. Heaven, you are so right about Mrs. McEntire! I caught her yelling at Kindergartners and first grade students and grabbing one’s arm. I called the Superintendent and they said no other complaint has been made about Mrs McEntire Ever!, so nothing was done. It happen in front of others that work at SHV but I believe their to afraid to say anything for fear of losing their job but our children are more important than them keeping their jobs!!! I feel she needs to be a prison warden not a elementary school principle. Also, I have seen first hand how nice she can be when she wants something go her way and how mean she can be when she doesn’t get it. I also notice the women that do not dress appropriatly. It does bring school down. One of the women volunteers do not wear a bra when voluteering at the school. And if I notice then be sure the kid notice too. What we need to do is get a petition to get rid of Mrs. McEntire not rant and rave about her online. Let do something! Lets make a Change in our children school for the better! If more people will call the Superintended about her and her behavior and then post the response on here we can make a change. Since she has been principle there have been death threats against the school and our children been put out there for the world to see. But its not only Mrs. McEntire it is the PTO that hired the guy who took the video of the kids because one of the PTO members knew him through church. We need the president and the vice president to step down. They have not served our school in its best interest. They spend PTO money frivolously as you can see from the letter they sent home where the PTO puts the moneys. We need a crossing guard and they refuse to pay for one. They said they have no money in the budget but they can spend $2500 for teacher appreciation plus they spend money for grandparents day??? That’s nice but other school in our district do not have money for grandparents day or teacher appreciation awards so why do we? We have a lot of wonderful parents who donate money to PTO so they can better the school but it sounds like the PTO lost site of that, they are only bettering their high status. We have triple the money in the PTO budget than others schools in the same district and we can’t afford a crossing guard for 2 hrs a day?? Several parents and children have been almost hit buy cars going to fast. What are they going to do when someone does get hurt?? They cant said no one asked for a crossing guard. Also, if they don’t like you they blacklist you, like for instances if you sign up to be a Class room mom they take you off the list and put someone who didn’t show up for the meeting to replace you! Then don’t tell you till the letter comes who is going to be the classroom mom. Real nice ladies! I believe what comes around goes around and yes they will all get whats coming to them. You cant treat people like there nothing! We eventually get tired and start speaking up!! To the PTO board: to say your Christians is an insult. If you are then act like one!!!!! Ill be praying for all of you to do the right thing!

Mrs. Nunya, I was prestent when Mrs. McEntire yelled at the students and grab ones arm, were you??? What would you do if it was your child being yelled for something they had no control over plus being phyically harmed. The solution is talk to the parents not yell or intimidate the children especially not put your hands harmfully on a child. The children were in K-1st grade. Let me know your response please.
