can't the senate leave well enough alone? if any one of them
accepts money from large tobacco companies, then they should not
have voted to pass this bill. it is just one more crime against the
native american people. if the president signs this bill into law,
he will destroy the tust given to him by people who have been
betrayed enough. native americans are just running a business which
creates jobs and that should be a concern when the preident makes
his decison. the president is a smoker and should understand the
hardship this will create for so many people. the senate was pretty
cleaver to pass this bill while nation was focused on health care.
the president should count his blessings and veto this. how would
he like it if his rights were violated? call 1-202-456-1111 to
protest and let the president know how you feel.

As I understand it, the Nations had an agreement with the federal
gov, protecting their right to commerce. So that would make this
just another treaty broken by the government for corporate
financial gain. I often buy cigarettes from the "Indian" nations. I
buy only the native made products. I choose not to buy my cancer
from the corporate pushers. I will purchase my products from the
LEGITIMATE native businesses. I am quite ashamed (yet again) that
my government has chosen to violate another treaty. Same old, same
old.
