I get the feeling that we have
been here time after time after time.
‘Somebody’ gets their jollies building
up a Play World, then decides to scrub
a big old boot through it all and start
all over from scratch one more time.
What FUN, and no real harm done, eh?
When I was just a small, lower case ‘q’,
back about a half century ago, someone
decided there might be oil out in our
barn yard.
They drilled a test well, down about a
half mile or so.
They didn’t find any oil, but the drill
bit did turn up a tiny bronze figurine,
from many hundreds of feet down.
It was male, and had on clothes.
A little over an inch long, it looked
almost Egyptian, but not quit.
I have learned a bit since then, and now
I might say it had a resemblance to Sumerian
figures I have seen. Maybe a blend of
Indigenous American and Sumerian.
I wonder how many millions of years ago that
little bronze figurine was made and lost?
Now, that’s entertainment…
