GAZA, (PIC)– The Palestinian-international campaign to lift the siege on Gaza Strip announced on Sunday that two boats would set sail to the Strip late this month.
It added that the two boats’ voyage organized by Gaza movement in its summer of hope campaign would head from the Cypriot port of Larnaca to Gaza harbor on 25/6 in a 30-hour sea trip.
The campaign in a statement said that a number of Arab and foreign solidarity activists from 17 countries would be on board the boats including a Noble peace laureate and a former American congress member.
It said that symbolic amounts of cement would be shipped along with medicines and medical tools badly needed by the besieged Strip.
The campaign said that it prepared a complete program for the visiting delegates that would include visiting bereaved families, hospitals and tents in addition to meeting representatives of farmers, fishermen, relatives of prisoners, civil society institutions and officials over a period of two days.
The campaign held the Israeli occupation authority fully responsible for safety of the boats and all those on board, noting that the voyage is the first in a series of sea trips to Gaza over the next two months within the summer of hope campaign.
