Wanted for war crimes: George W. Bush and Dick Cheney
Early in 2008 several towns in Vermont (Brattleboro, Marlboro, and others) proposed the issue of arrest warrants for George W. Bush and Dick Cheney. They intended to vote on the measure in March but by then they had changed the proposal to that of merely asking their representatives in Congress to consider impeachment hearings. The measures passed unanimously, but you can see what effect they have had.
Fortunately, a group of Oregon citizens who were sworn to uphold and defend the Constitution were made of sterner stuff, for they had already issued a warrant for the arrest of George W. Bush and Dick Cheney on June 16, 2007, in Newport, Oregon. 3:32
There may be other veterans who recall their oaths of office too. Perhaps they have issued similar warrants that we haven’t heard about yet.
The warrant still stands, so if you know that either of these men is in your county, call your county sheriff so that he or she can execute the warrant.
Squadron13′s Citizens Arrest Warrant for Bush and Cheney was read for the first time in D.C. in front of a very enthusiastic crowd of museum visitors at the National Archives Museum on March 19, 2008.
