He could have and should have said politely, I have broken no law and if you attempt to steal my camera by force I will press charges. And he should have made sure there were witnesses as well. If citizens keep giving into these types of harrassment and illegal abuses of police power, they are going to end up no better than citizens in any other dictatorship in the world. STAND YOU GROUND, STAND UP FOR YOUR RIGHTS!!! Why would this photographer hand over his camera to a police officer just because she asked for it.
